Arathi Basin. Its the right mix of small-team play with large scale battle. Getting 40v40 set games are impossible, but 15v15 happens enough to give a huge boost of accomplishment when its over.

Of the two I know & play, WSG and AB, it would be AB. Maybe because the Alliance doesn't get its bottom kicked every single time like in WSG, so it's actually fun to play for me.

For gaining honour I love AV but for fun I am very fond of AB simply because it's nicely spread out, it's a simple map and it's all about capturing bases :D

i love AV, horde have a huge amount of fun rushing the allies base.

Warsong Gulch, without a doubt.
With a good team, against another good team, it's the more interesting of the Battlegrounds. The only downside is when it's a bad team against a good team, it's horribly obvious moreso than in the others.

WSG hands down.
Yes, it's the most susceptible to premades.
Yes, it's the lowest honor/hour if you lose.
But CTF never gets old to me :)

AB
Its possible for you to single handedly turn the tide of the battle and its impossible for the game to last more than 45 minutes like warsong.
AB is definitely the best BG.

I usually do AV becasue I'm a prot. Warrior so I can be of actual use in that BG as well as gaining the highest honor/hour.
But for fun I'm all about Eye of the Storm. It's just the most fun fight for me because small 8v8 skirmishes pop up all over the map while you're capping some objectives!

Old AV before they took out all the NPC's, it used to be an epic battle, you had people mining, you had people farming hides. Send out a 5 man to rescue the goblin and take the shredder...
Come on how cool was Old AV!

I agree with the others, AB is my favorite, followed by WSG.
AB is fun because it's reasonably sized, and the battle for the nodes really keeps you moving. Defense works, but you need a very active office too.

I'm with 7. There's nothing worse than going into WSG for a quick 15-20 minute battle and finding yourself at a stalemate an hour later.

I play a lot of Alterac Valley because, frankly, I want to make 2000 or more honor in a day. Can't do that in WSG, it seems to me.
Bearskunk Jul 27th 2007 8:55AM
AV is awesome. You can just sit in a cave, do nothing and at the end of the day go buy a new PVP item with the pile of honor points you got :D
Tolento Jul 27th 2007 8:56AM
Alliance rogue here. My favorite has always been AV. Particularly the old Proudmoore-only AV's before cross realm battlegrounds. They used to take hours and hours to complete. The queue times were long but the AV matches, once you got into them, could last all day.
I want another big fat 40vs40 battleground. The more players the better!
Arawn Jul 27th 2007 9:02AM
AV is obvious, but my second is Eye of the Storm. Second fastest honor in the game, and it requires your team to walk and chew gum at the same time (which no one seems to get...you *cannot* just hold two towers and win)
Welshboff Jul 27th 2007 9:24AM
I used to really love AV. I remember 5 hr epic battles and it really felt like if was war and really worth the win.
Now with AV finishing in about 20 mins it started off fun but now its boring. Give me epic raging war again please.
So for me AV followed very closly by AB
Hidden_Agenda Jul 27th 2007 9:50AM
I am quite fond of EotS. It has elements from both AB and WSG. What is not to like?
innajunglestylee Jul 27th 2007 9:59AM
@16
I'm with you. I like how a game where one side wholly ignores flag caps can quickly flip for the other side (and I've been on the wrong side of that); I like how quickly I can run from flag cap to flag cap to keep the action going. Sure, it was kind of lazy design to simply take elements from the existing games and be like "LOL WSABG!" but hey, it works.

I guess I'd have to say AV for the grand scale of it but I wish there was one that was just purely a deathmatch. Why can't there be one where it's just an all-out 40v40 (or higher) battle? The team with the most kills in a certain amount of time (maybe 10 min? 15?) would get the bonus honor. No caves to hide in, no faction NPC's to protect you. One can only dream...
Heraclea Jul 27th 2007 10:42AM
AV for me. As a prot-specced warrior, it's the only one I feel remotely useful in. The NPC bosses mean that there is work for a tank there. Play there rewards things other than ranged burst damage and crowd control, which is what PvP is about anywhere else.
