Last week's episode of Two Bosses Enter was our closest fight to date, with the margin of victory being a scant seven votes. (In case you were wondering whether your votes made a difference, this time it only would have taken a handful of votes to turn the tide.) Ossirian won with 786 votes to Al'ar's 779. Commenters noted that Al'ar would be unlikely to figure out the trick of getting Ossirian out of his Supreme Mode, and when he's moving as fast and hitting as hard as he does in Supreme Mode, he's a tough cookie. And even if Al'ar did kock Ossirian out of Supreme Mode, Ossirian has high magical resistances, and Supreme Mode only makes him vulnerable to one school of magic -- meaning that Al'ar's fire attacks still only have a
chance of hurting him.
However, while the votes were close, there's a possibility this matchup was only close because the Ossirian fight is particularly gimmicky -- and not a good one for comparison. (Note: if you see any matchups in our brackets that you don't think work out, feel free to drop me a note at elizabeth DOT harper AT wowinsider DOT com. I'm happy to listen to any suggestions.) However, for the time being, the fight is won and Ossirian is moving on. You can reference our
current brackets, complete with nifty linkage, over at WoWWiki, page creation courtesy of Imandir.

"And even if Al'ar did kock Ossirian out of Supreme Mode,..."
What IS going on in these boss fights?!

"Ossirian has high magical resistances"
"meaning that Al'ar's fire attacks still only have a chance of hurting him"
Do you actually read the comments? For the final time Ossirian DOES NOT HAVE HIGH MAGICAL RESISTANCE he takes normal damage. when out of supreme mode he becomes VULNERABLE to one school of damage taking more damage from it

Sweet 16 -> Elite 8 -> Final 4

And what did people not see about A'lar being able to fly? Ossirian can run around in Supreme Mode all he wants, he still can't jump in the air and hit a flying bird.

He can use his whirlwinds to bring him to the ground?

As mentioned above Ossirian doesn't really fit well since his fight requires a lot of interacting with in-game elements so he'd be doing inflated damage for the whole fight.
Still, I can't disagree that it's fun to try and work out :) Heck, if I had my own private server with the complete run of things I'd totally be spawning bosses into the middle of Gurubashi Arena and making 'em fight.
It's the adult equivalent of playing with action figures ;)

That'd be hard to land on a bird flying around.
And they still didn't clarify how much health Al'ar would have. The same amount as Ossirian, but with both lives having the mount(ie, double total hp of Ossirian), or half the hp in each life? Either way, there was still an imbalance on health concerns.

As far as the bracket goes, 8 is generally referred to as the "Elite 8" :)

If we assume no NPC will ever click the crystals and knock Ossirian out of Supreme Mode, there's almost nothing else in this contest that can beat him. He just hits too hard.
IMO he shouldn't be in the contest, because of that.

I was too lazy to look up what 8 is, I like whatever8is better than "elite 8" anyways.

Ossirian vs. Razuvious would've been a much better fight.
