Around Azeroth: Arcane Explosion ftw
Reader Marty sends us this shot, showing off the how impressive it can be running through lower-level content at level 70. Here we have a level 70 mage bringing down dozens of mobs in Scarlet Monastery at a time. There's something very satisfying about seeing an Arcane Explosion cause all of your enemies to drop instantly to the ground.
Do you have a unique shot of Azeroth or Outland that you'd like to show off to the rest of the world? Tell us about it by e-mailing aroundazeroth@gmail.com! Or perhaps you'd just like to see more of your pics from Around Azeroth.

This is one of my favorite ways of leveling friend's alts. We've been running SM forever on any character that can get in the door, though my 70 mage isn't as effective in there as I'd like.
For lower level alts though, Deadmines is thoroughly enjoyable... especially when you gather every single mob on the boat and take the down at once. It's a beautiful sight.

Seed of Corruption is not too shabby, either :P

on the topic of nothingness, how does arcane power stack with +spelldmg? is it applied after +spelldmg or before?

Re:#3, After, DPS talents are applied after +dmg, healing is the opposite. See wowwiki.com for more details. Also AOE spells do not get the same +dmg as direct dmg spells.

My gear and build have changed quite a bit since then as has my guild. (Cindara@Dragonmaw)
I just liked the screenshot because you could actually see the texture of the wave itself in addition to the particle effects on each mob.
@4 - Correct, instant cast spells only get 60% normal +dmg bonus.
