WoW board game makers will be at Blizzcon
Fantasy Flight Games, makers of the WoW board game, have announced what they're going to be up to at BlizzCon, just a few days away. The game's creators will be around, and they'll be showing off the game, as well as the Burning Crusade expansion, which apparently adds new heroes and new monsters into the mix. FFG will also be showing off Starcraft: The Board Game, which is set to be released sometime later this year. And, perhaps most exciting, they'll also be giving out a special BlizzCon mini-expansion, with custom sets of armor for each of the nine classes, and even a Murloc suit! No idea what a Murloc suit will do for you in a board game, but it doesn't do much for you in the MMO either, and we all want one of those, right?
If you're a fan of the Board Game or just want to be one (I wouldn't mind checking it out for sure), be sure to check out the FFG booth in the Exhibit Hall at Blizzcon.

I bought this so I'd have something to do on Tuesdays... In all seriousness, it's a pretty enjoyable game, just be prepared for alot of downtime when it is not your turn. My girlfriend bought me the "Shadow of War" Expansion for my birthday, which left something to be desired. The expansions don't add anything new to the game, just more cards from which to draw.

Bought this one day during a hurricane when the power was out for days... took way too long to figure out the rules. We put it on the shelf and haven't touched it since.

I am a *HUGE* fan of FFG. Fantasy Flight Games has been making awesome board games from all different genres for a while now.
The WoW board game was okay, but certainly NOT their best work. Recently i'd have to say as a horror fanatic - I was more than pleased with their Arkham Horror board game.
If anyone wants to try a top-notch complex board game go for Arkham Horror. It helps if you've read Lovecraft. ;-)

I wonder if they'll explain how to play, lol. Seriously it needs an instructional DVD to go along with the novel of an instruction manual. Either that or a team of 30 year old virgins to explain how the thing works.
