Respec: a talent calculator for the Mac
If I'd had this tool a couple weeks ago, it would have made my last Build Shop much easier. Respec is a desktop talent calculator for the Mac (10.4+, Intel/PPC), and it works great as far as I can tell. In addition to talent-calculation basics, Respec has the following features:
[thanks, Mike]
- Save specs for later tweaking/reference
- Import from the Armory
- Export to Blizzard's calculator

I have been looking for one of these for PC.
Does anyone know of any kind?

"... but that's only until you don't have internet access."
Still, that kind of tool is absolutely useless.

I just downloaded it and it's a fun tool. I agree with @2 in that it's not really THAT useful since you can find a calculator online rather easily. Still, I'll probably use it from now on as it's an application I can open on my dock with one quick click.
It is nice to see people developing stuff for Macs. We've been getting the short end of the gaming stick for quite a while now. I've always commended Blizzard for incorporating nice Mac support features into their games, like the iTunes key binding options. I'm super excited for the upcoming video capture feature. Finally, a built in program for us that have been living without Fraps! Thanks, Blizz.
All I need now is a patch that allows my old Warcraft I, Warcraft II and Warcraft II expansion to work on Intel Macs!! ^^

There's an addon called "talented" which does exactly the same ingame ...

About the spec... Take one point away from +crit and put it to Shadowburn. And try to get at least one point to the Mana Feed talent, it's the only way to give mana to your pet after all.

If you plan to run many instances where you won't be using the felguard, consider throwing points into improved imp, mana feed, and improved firebolt. The little guy is a very nice pewpewpew machine and when I was specced demonology/ruin he did a good part of my damage in instances. Plus 82 stamina for the whole party.

I second the recommendation of Talented. People that respec often, say for raiding or PVP, really need this as it will automate talent learning.

I was sort of "Meh" till I saw the Armory features. This is actually a really great little app.
Nice find :)

What's the deal with Wowhead's calculator? Other than working twice as slow for me as Blizzards, I don't notice a difference in how the thing functions, yet every says 'Use WowHead's, it's better.'

Dan: I prefer Wowhead's because it's (much) faster for me, and (in my opinion), prettier. If Blizz's is faster for you, it makes sense to use it.
