Breakfast topic: Best voiceacting

For the longest time, I didn't even know that WoW bosses actually had voices. It took halfway through BWL for me to finally turn on the sound and listen to what my enemies were saying, and I discovered that some of the voices were actually pretty decent.
There are concurrent threads on the US and EU realm forums about the best raid boss voice acting. There are a lot of different nominees, but some recurring mentions include:
- C'thun's whispers: "Your friends will abandon you," "you are already dead," "your heart will explode" ... always creepy, especially when you think it's someone in Vent, ask around, and then worry that you're beginning to hear voices.
- Shade of Aran: "I am not some simple jester! I am Nielas Aran!" Good, heartfelt acting.
- Anub'rekhan: "I hear little hearts beating. Yesss... beating faster now. Soon the beating will stop." The guy sounds like a serial killer.
- Ragnaros: He's got the most parodied voice out there. Someone in my guild used to macro Rag and Domo's entire conversation and scare the living hell out of us by making us think we started the event. The best one I've seen so far, though, is "Raganar-Os: The only cereal with a molten core! Two scoops, Executus, two scoops! Taste the flavor of Sulfuron! By fiber be purged!"

The voice acting in ZG is just embarassing, especially Venoxis - who just sounds like some goth nerd trying to be scary.

I really liked all the voice acting in Escape from Drunholde. The entire instance is such a great experience becuase it feels real and immerseive and the voice acting helps a lot.

The twoheaded ogre in Shattered Halls never fails to amuse me, but I think I like Magtheridon as he can be heard in Bloodfurnace best - "Take my blood and choke on it!"
When you're in Netherspites room there is a very low sound like a heartbeat, but not constantly. First time I heard that I thought my headphone was picking up some music, but than others realized that too and asked if anybody else is hearing it - thank you, yes, I'm not imagining it! That heartbeat soon became so annoying I tried to stay out of the room as long as possible.

It's all about oneliners like:

then everyone loves "Arise my Champion!" "At your side, Milady!"
And the Ogre boss in Shattered Halls, as pointed out, is made of 100% win.

Oops I can't believe I forgot my favourites from the Romulo & Julliane Opera encounter.
The way that they use lines from Romeo & Juliet either massively hammed up or taken out of context is just hilarious.

All french voice acting in the game, ever.
Seriously just watch jack's movies with the french voice overs. Every boss sounds amazing in french, even if you dont speak the language

I can't recall a better voice-acting than Nielas Aran. Sounds intense, desperate, slighty mad and very genuine. It's one of the reasons I like that fight, even being caught on his blizzard every freakin' time.

Well, I've never been raiding, but last night I was tooling around Mulgore, and I heard this strange voice. Turns out they gave a tauren farmer near the bridge just west of Bloodhoof Villiage a voice.
But if you listen to it, it sounds like a little kid who's voice hasn't dropped yet trying to emulate the Tauren speech patterns and occaisionally saying, "Could you help me find my dog."
Is it the voice of the kid to whom Blizzard gave a Pheonix Mount?
I just thought it was kinda funny and interesting.

I always liked the introduction to Vaelstrasz, which was later exceptionally well used in that Curse BWL video. Movie quality.

Millhouse Manastorm, Gnome voices rock and Romulo when he gets hit, Just makes me lol everytime. ^^
