A distinct lack of murlocs
Micromachine drops a question that I can't believe we forgot to ask at BlizzCon: Will there be murlocs in the next expansion? There definitely was a distinct lack of murlocs in Outland-- but for the few packs in Serpentshrine Cavern and the Dancing Murloc quest, we didn't hear that throaty gurgle almost at all. And as much as I hate it, I... kind of miss it.It's not like they wouldn't fit, either-- Northrend has a coast that we'll be visiting, and while it's a little colder up there, Murlocs are pretty adaptable creatures. Plus, the Tuskarr are a race of fishermen-- errr, fisherwalruses-- and they'd probably love to have the Murlocs around, for dinner if for northing else. I'm not sure exactly what an Arctic Murloc would look like, but I'd definitely like to find out.
Then again, as someone mentions in the thread, we'll probably get our fill of Murlocs whenever Blizzard gets around to making the Maelstrom expansion and tells us what all the Murlocs are doing on land in the first place. But until then, while it's OK to leave Murlocs out of Outlands (because how are they going to get there in the first place), it's unacceptable to completely leave Murlocs off the northern continent of Azeroth. Bring on the gurgle!

With all the Naga in Outland, I'm disappointed that we haven't seen any Mur'gul. Those are mutated Murlocs, by the way.

@2: There haven't been that many murlocs around to date - have there?
And boars yes, well - that goes without saying ^_^
And more kill quests... 20 here, 30 there - I wish Blizz would add some originality into quests as well sometime.

There are Murlocks in Warcraft 3 in Northrend, so if they keep to it, looks like.

Somewhere there should be a big ass (fin) Murloc boss. A deep throaty Mcrigugggrrrrrlgglgl! that echoes out and strikes fear in our hearts.

Murlocs make little sense in Outland. Unless a few were brought along as slaves to the Naga (as may be the case in Serpentshrine), there's no reason for them to be there.
Northrend however is a part of Azeroth, and therefore all they would have to do is swim there... so yes, I predict there will be a few in Northrend.

There are, indeed, murlocs in Serpentshrine Cavern. Not that I'm downing any bosses in there yet, but as a rogue I considered it my solemn duty to sneak around in there as soon as they dropped the keying requirement.
One of the bosses in SSC is surrounded by murloc patrols. They patrol as you'd imagine murlocs would... by flailing madly and spastically about. It was great fun attempting to sneak around them! I had several "ok, I think I'm safe, wait, noooooooo" moments as Shardy went down in a pile of blood and gurgles.
