AFKers ask Blizz to "save the Peace Cave"
I really have no pity for people who AFK in Alterac Valley, but I will laugh at their last ditch attempts to get honor for free, especially when they're as witty as this.Thayne from Hyjal is fighting for his right to not fight-- he describes himself as a conscientious objector, and wants Blizzard to recognize that while others are fighting each other, he is fighting, in his own AFK, non-combat way, to end the war once and for all. He calls the Alterac cave the "Peace Cave," and pleads with Blizzard to please, please save the Peace Cave, and let Thayne and his fellow peaceniks remain to observe the battle (and gain honor) without actually getting involved in it.
Of course to that we say: No chance. We're still kicking you out. But nice try.
Thanks, Robert!

If they were real conscientious objectors, they wouldn't enter the battlefield to begin with. These people are there to reap the benefits of war, so if they claim they're opposing that very same war, they are filthy hypocrites.

If only the US could do this
Jess Aug 11th 2007 3:22PM
Hah! It's called World of Warcaft, you afking noobs.
Mark Jindra Aug 11th 2007 3:27PM
First to be a real conscientious objector you need to have been drafted into the military and have no choice but to go to war. If you are simply a peace lover you should be standing outside of the battlegrounds protesting your governments military policies and showing your support of peace.
The "peace cave" ends where the battleground begins. If you want to be a peace loving hippie stay out of the battleground.

Wow, maybe you didn't notice that this was under the heading of HUMOR.
RogueJedi86 Aug 11th 2007 3:58PM
@#5/JDC78
Maybe you didn't notice that we're humorously treating it like a serious matter, just like the thread creator humorously treated it seriously.

What a retard that guy is I agree with the ppl who said they hope his account is banned, he's just making AFKing seem acceptable by claiming to be something he's not, and makes a complete ass out of himself in doing so

As JDC78 has tried to point out to you already, this is a joke... A very good one at that.
I always like it when people post in character on the forums, it should be encouraged.
RogueJedi86 Aug 11th 2007 5:03PM
I was posting in-character too. I'm Kengoh in that thread, lol. I'm playing the part of a Dwarf who loves the war, and considers the peaceniks to be filthy hippies, contrasting the fact that I'm much closer to a hippie in real life.

Yeah you all should prolly worry about your toons instead of spending your time concerned with what other people are doing with theirs, QQ QQ QQ QQ QQQ QQ QQ QQ QQQQ QQQ QQ I'm gonna laugh when AFKers are outta AV and you have 40 active and STILL LOSE. Cause yes it will happen.
Luciferasi Aug 12th 2007 12:38AM
I find this funny as it should, but if he really was a conscientious objector, he wouldn't even be able to get into the Battleground, as to be a real one you must refrain from any form of war/violence and I don't get how he could have leveled to 51 (the minimum requirement to enter AV) without slaughtering half of Azeroth. :-)
Lianadra Aug 11th 2007 6:12PM
You know, the AFKers aren't half as annoying as the mousepad generals who sit in a relatively low-threat area and bark out orders like they are the know-all and end-all of PvPers. Afkers will find inventive ways of rep farming, and will waste half the energy doing so as you do whining about them.
Thanks for the lulz Thayne. Nice to know some people realize that this is just a game, and not some religion being defiled by the wicked AFKers.

There is no AFK in the Peace Cave. Or sex in the champagne room, come to think of it.
Lanth Aug 11th 2007 11:23PM
@1
Entering the battlefield is actually a smarter option than not entering. Not only can you there try to persuade other soldiers to stop fighting the war, you also stop a blood-thirsty fighter from being able to wreak more havoc.

Stuff like this really wishes there was a /factiongank [target] command in WoW.
Paroxetine Aug 12th 2007 1:35PM
how about blizzard fix AV so that it's fair to the horde? make the game competitive so that people don't feel the battle was lost before it even began.
CaseyJonesspeeder Aug 12th 2007 2:31AM
World of Peacecraft would be such a boring game.

Afk'ers are it has to be said, far less anoying than the gimps in the other BG's that about 5mins start shouting that we should just let them win, how its already over, how the alliance never wins..so theres no point in trying..
