I have had this happen to me not once but twice on my home realm. The first time was someone I knew out of game and had convinced to come to the realm. Early on I knew another had interest, but I thought I understood the situation. I was wrong, and when the facts(or those I was willing to reveal) came out, it hurt and I took a break from WoW. The second time didn't hurt as much because I kept my distance from the whole relationship. Once bitten, twice shy. My only advice would be for those on RP realms, make sure you know where things stand IRL, so RP can't be blamed.
