In the reputation grinder
Reputation grinding is something of a mixed bag in the World of Warcraft-- some factions have many options for the player who wants to gain rep. Most of the new factions in Burning Crusade have quests, turn-ins, and various instances that all award rep. Others (especially those that existed pre-BC) are more difficult, requiring hours upon hours of grinding away on specific mobs that provide little return, as anyone who's ever gotten exalted with the Wintersaber Trainers will tell you.Not all factions provide rewards that everyone will need-- if you're anything like me (and, I think, most players), you'll pick and choose which factions you want to grind. For at least one person, however, the goal was to hit Exalted with all available factions.
Tombom, from Cho'gall, is exalted with 36 different factions (37 if you count switching from Scryer to Aldor), including Darkmoon Faire. I'd be lying if I said that this didn't make me feel bad about neglecting some of my own reputation goals, but it does inspire me - if a Disc / Holy priest can do it, why not me?
Congratulations, Tombom!
Thanks, Centipede!

Having high reputation with opposing factions (magram / gelkis and booty bay / bloodsail) is quite impressive.

In before "omg he has no life".
Seriously though, someone needs to interview him, find out what his /played is as a result, and how hard it was, all those details.

I thought Warla was the king of rep...

...but I think this guy has him beat.

I love these sort of posts and the "get a life" comments that follow. Most of those factions aren't very difficult to rep up with. Anyone in a decent raiding guild and has had that character as their sole focus over their WoW subscription time could achieve something like this.
However, all that gear and a shitty Blue BoE melee dagger? WTF? and what's with the strange talent spec?

Wow, someone beat Warla. And even on the factions Tombom doesn't have exalted with, he's farther along than Warla is.
Some interesting bits - Revered with Bloodsail while Exalted with Booty Bay.
Revered with one Centaur clan, honored with another.

jeez how do you increase rep with Bloodsail buccanners and with both Magram and Gelkis clans?
Todd Aug 16th 2007 9:25AM
"How do you kill that which has no life."
Todd Aug 16th 2007 9:27AM
@Otacon
Honestly, I think he grouped with someone who was doing the killing and he was just standing on the side collecting the rep. I wonder if he has two computer with two accounts and simply farms rep.
Halicante Aug 20th 2007 4:54AM
He did it by being a guild leader and looting all the gold to himself to buy the stuff to up the rep and eventually gdisbanding the guild and transferring to cho'gall with the guildbank after his e-gf's naked pics got out.
gg tom, gg
