The music of your class
There's a rather atrocious radio station that I pick up sometimes when I'm "station surfing" in the car that has an equally annoying jingle that advertises itself as playing "The Music of Your Life." I'll pause here so you can all run to the medicine cabinet to grab the nausea medication of your choice. Personally, I like the pink stuff, but I digress. It's no great secret that World of Warcraft players usually turn off the in-game music within moments of installing the game. Some listen to mp3 players while they play, or perhaps they have a stereo blaring nearby in the background.
But what about the music of your class? What about a class theme song? What do you listen to when you're staring at the big boss at the end of the raid and you want to get your groove on? I posed this question to some paladin friends on another server. Their suggestions for the paladin class were "I Can Go The Distance" sung by Michael Boulton (the theme song from the Disney animated "Hercules") and – more amusingly – the chorus from "The Power" by Snap!
That's just a couple of ideas for one class, but what about the rest? What about races? It's time for you to sound off with your suggestions.

I havne't been hardcore raiding in awhile, but when I was, it was as a hunter.. and I usually had the LOTR soundtrack playing throughout the dungeon crawl. Guess it kinda made me feel a bit like Legolas in the depths of Moria shoot'n up orcs. =P
Sometimes on a particularly troublesome bossfight, I'd queue up the Mission Impossible theme and stream it over Ventrilo to give everyone a much needed laugh.

I wouldn't call it my class music but when gearing up for raid time I like to listen to "For those about to rock".

Why would people usually turn off the music? Don't try to cover up the fact that you turn off the music by saying you're in the majority.
The music in WoW is great and always helps set the mood.
Cause yeah... listening to Godsmack really sets the mood when you're flying through Nagrand *rolls eyes*

There's nothing quite as epic as MUSE for battlegrounds and raiding. Specifically Knights of Cydonia is killer for getting me pumped up to take out some cute horde.

Sounds silly, but I love Fever Dream (from the 300 soundtrack) when PvPing on my hunter. My pet and me, tearing up the endless Alliance one by one!
Or something. Melodrama for the win!

I crank up Dragonforce and listen to it usually during grinding or not on vent. Although it definitely seems to boost my skill while playing at any point in the game.

I stream 80's music internet radio stations while i play, but let me think. I'm a feral druid, so...

Although i'm not a warrior, i would think "O Fortuna" from Carmina Burana, since it's been used in every Conan-type movie would be rather apropos for the tank class.

I don't think that anyone turns off the music "within moments". It's great music, but after hearing it over and over for about a month, it gets old (as does all music). To this day, every time I hear the Barrens music, I'm transported back to my dorm room in December '05.

For the druid theme song, it definitely has to be: Wherever I may roam - Metallica
Hands down, no contest
