Around Azeroth: The view from Karazhan
Reader Balcor of Bronzebeard sends in this unusual shot along with a story. Apparently he managed to leap off the Master's Terrace inside Karazhan and into the landscape below without zoning out of the instance. However, the place he landed wasn't exactly Deadwind Pass, where Karazhan is located. Instead it was an odd facade designed to give players a view -- for a while it seemed to match up to the real Deadwind Pass, then morphed into the Swamp of Sorrows, and finally ended in this void.

I wonder why Blizzard has these go so far. For those of you who have gone behind ZF and into Tanaris (without zoning) You'll know you can get to Un'Goro, go to mini Gadget, and far into Tanaris. If you're skilled enough you can even go through the Shimmering Flats and into the Thousand Needles.

going behind zul'gurub to see the old deadwind pass is much more interesting than going out of zf :)

So what happens if you jump off into the void?
Actually, i expect you fall down into the ever-present water, but maybe not...
Then there's the edge of the world out in the overworld. What if you jump off that? I'm talking about the edges of the world where the water ends in a cliff. You have to contend with Fatigue, but if you can reach it... then what?

I actually did what this guy did in the screenshot not 3 days ago. If you walk into the void, you get stuck there. You can't hearth, because it says your moving, and you can't stop moving. Auto unstuck doesnt work either, nor does restarting the game. I was stuck there for an hour before a GM came and saved me.
Was really cool around there though

I suppose they're not entirely pleased with having to come save people who've gotten stuck in places they shouldn't be? :)

If only it worked with Old Hillsbrad. They were smart enough to surround it with invisible walls, so you can't explore outside of Hillsbrad.
