OK, fine. I agree on asking about spec upfront, etc. But let's turn this on it's head: I won't care about your spec - if you can do your job. Hold aggro! Not on one mob, but 2 at least. And hold aggro while enabling the DPS to put out a reasonable fraction of our damage. If i have to throttle my damage too much, you're not doing your job. If you can only tank one mob at a time, you're not doing your job. Now, I can pull aggro of almost any tank if I try... and I might need to get a feel for where the bar is with you. But the bar had better be reasonably high, because I'm not there to hit them with pillows. As long as a tank holds aggro against good for the instance dps and can hold more than a single mob, I could care less how they do it. But if I open with Garrote so you can build rag and my first Sinister Strike consistently pulls aggro off of you, you can go back to AV.
