WoW Moviewatch: Soloing Blackrock Depths

I find this video of a level 70 Paladin soloing Blackrock Depths to be fairly impressive -- but since we've already seen a paladin solo the Blood Furnace, perhaps it's not as impressive as I think. But as someone who's played through the instance a time or two, I'm pretty amazed to see someone soloing the Lyceum, an area of numerous mobs on an exceedingly fast respawn timer that's wiped many a full party. But what am I saying -- this is a video with aa Paladin, and the more mobs hitting them, the happier they are, right?

I wish I could find a video of a level 60 rogue soloing BRD.

meh, i solo brd on my hunter regularly and most of lbrs.

Haven't watched it but soloing BRD is pretty easy. My 70 hunter was able to do a full clear of BRD before I saw my first piece of Kara loot. Now with 10 (I think?) epics it'd be a cakewalk... The lyceum was so easy i could burn down groups with only an explosive trap and a volley (weak-ass hunter aoe)

Yeah, BRD is very easy to solo... I wouldnt bother making a movie about it...

Can solo BRD on my Warrior, it's not hard.
Can solo all of Stratholme as well, just need to avoid the Cannon Master and Timmy as they hit a bit hard.

I actually soloed Cannon Master and Timmy on my war. Had to burn recklessness on Timmy though. But did you actually solo UD part as well? People told me that it is impossible to solo as a warrior, that is why I did not even bother.
I also tried soloing Scholo on my war, and guess what? Killed Rattlegore and Butcher, but those mobs that become immune to physical damage at 20% are impossible to kill as a warrior =(

Yep, I do full UD as well. Spider boss is easy if you take out his UD Scarab, Baroness and Maleki are pushovers. The Magistrate isn't bad at all either. Ramstein can get lucky and get 3 stuns off and you can die from that, just like Balnazzar, who can get lucky with his Shadow Shocks and Mind Blasts.
Baron can be pretty simple. If you want to ensure a win, use the Medallion of Faith to haul Aurius in there. I usually pop Death Wish after the first wave of Skeletons eats Holy Water, then pot (making sure Mortal Strike isn't on me), then use Recklessness and quick burn him down. Whirlwinds and a Cleave or two works on the remaining skeletons that appear afterwords. I've probably solo'd Baron well over 12 times now...He likes dropping Devout, that's for sure.
As for Scholo, I've solo'd the entire place, minus the physical immune mobs you spoke of. Curse you Blizzard, I wanted another epic to add to my pile. :[
I run as a 31/30/0 Warrior. I'm on Khadgar if you wanted to look me up on Armory to get an idea for my gear. I run instances a lot, I'm actually sitting on Sul'thraze (but who isn't nowadays), Savage Gladiator Chain, Circle of Flame, Ironfoe, Blackblade of Shahram, Felstriker, and Book of the Dead. I suspect I would eventually get the Runeblade of Baron Rivendare, except Blizzard never updated the drop chance from .10% up to 1.3% like the other epics. :/

nope, not impressive at all. i was able to solo it at 64 on my rogue.

Magmy, I guess I will try to solo UD tonight, although my gear is slightly worse than yours.
I actually like running HU because I can even make some money from it. The Righteous Orbs go for 50g on my server =)
However, when you enter HU you have to fight those packs of undead mobs. They always give you a dot which prevents you from regenerating health for 10 minutes and does 150 damage every 5 seconds. How do you handle this dot? Because after i kill the group of undead mobs I take my gear off and die. And I usually have to fight two of these groups.

Focus on downing the zombies that give you cadaver worms first, it will reduce the number of times you get it a run. I normally only get it if I mess up a bit. Also for the ghouls, make sure you kill the Plague Ghouls first, as their Ghoul Plague is annoying (-20% walking speed, -25 Damage done).
If you get Cadaver Worms you can always choose to do what you did, or wait it out. Watch for when the damage ticks, and use a bandage or cannibalize between it. Those will heal you through the debuff.
Though you can skip all 3 of the starting pulls. When the gate opens take a left, then we you are walking to the Baron gate, keep hugging the left wall and you shouldn't aggro unless one of the zombies is right next to the wall. Out of my 12 runs, I've aggro'd the third pull once.

I am a new paladin but i was wondering how she managed to get the seal of righteousness wings effect to stay on her. is it a patch or a mod that i can download somewhere?

Yeah this is no big accomplishment. I ran my wife's alt thru BRD many times. The lyceum is especially easy. Just keep seal of light on and you can't miss.
Just the hit table of a level 70 versus a bunch of level 50-nothing mobs makes this ridiculously easy. A level 70 wearing decent plate has twice the Hp and mitigation that a level 60 warrior would have had running this place pre-tbc.

PS: When I ran thru this on my 70 paladin, the mobs in the lyceum don't even agro on you unless you walk right on top of them. I just walked to the torch bearing guys, killed them, killed the elementals at the braziers and opened the doors. At most I would have to engage maybe 2 packs of mobs before I just cleared a path to escort the lowbie character.
