Beyond Patch 2.2: Schwick's compilation of verified info
.jpg)
Patch 2.2, currently in testing on the PTR, has some great improvements like voice chat and reporting AFK'ers in Battlegrounds. What it doesn't have is any new, big, sexy chunk of playable content. So when are we going to see the post-Karazhan 10-main raid zone, Zul'Aman? New Heroic Badge rewards? Guild banks? Oh, we already know that last one.
Forum MVP Schwick on the WoW European forums has compiled a list of known updates in Patch 2.3 and beyond. He often provide reference links to his sources form many of his future patch notes, which makes him an information god in my book.
He also goes on to list all the verified information about the WotLK expansion. I thought I had read all the info that was out already, but on Schwick's list I found items I didn't know, like the fact that Blizzard has a plan to deal with the fact that the Horde doesn't have a fear ward. Or that Naxxramas, the last raid zone introduced before TBC launched, will be repurposed in the new expansion. Or that new shaders will be introduced for shinier graphics. Mmm, sparkles.
Check out Schwick's post if you want to get a look ahead about what's known for future patches.

These models have in fact been on the PRT since the cfirst build of the current PTR patch was released. For those with the WoW Model VIewer program, you can open it up and start watching the animations that these new bosses will do, but it's a sad story I'm afraid.
They are merely based on current emotes that we already see around Azeroth; for example the Eagle God is based on the Troll emotes, but the only change is the model, of course. ^_^

If they give horde fear ward they need to take out wotf or make fear ward not castable on undead.
I say this from a priest perspective of fear being our only cc in pvp and getting nerfed ruthlessly since release in response to warlocks. The only priest problem is our fear isn't spammable with it's 30 second cooldown. So between fear ward, wotf, pvp trinkets, and fear immune abilities, our only cc will be completely worthless. Due to diminishing returns, a person would be immune on the fifth fear attempt.
PVE I think it's fine balancing content for both factions. The problem being that it spills over into pvp and arena. Say whatever you want about each faction losing it's uniqueness, but fear ward was a retarded idea from the start and should never have been implemented the way it was.

Jeff Kaplan at Blizzcon said "he would like" to repurpose Naxx into a 25 man dungeon, but I would hardly consider that a statement of accomplished fact.
Compare that to what he said about fear ward: he said they had definite plans to spread that around more, a much firmer statement of intention.

I can't wait till they roll out naxx as the entry-raid for WotLK.
Then I can hear the whining from the people that didn't do it the first time... sounds something like this, "Oldschool raiders have and advantage they've seen all this before!"
It will not drown out the whining from the raiders who have already done it though... it sounds something like this, "Dude we've done all this sh*t, why am I paying for the same dungeon again."
Ah, good times.

The Eagle God reminds me of when people put costumes on their dogs or cats.

@6 Hehe - I agree. Looks sort of sad and embarrassed, doesn't he?
