And if they want to sell another 6 million of these, they'll put in a beta key for Wrath of the Lich King.

Kinda odd timing I'd say... but i guess better to get people in now and sell them the expansion at full price when it hits.
Also, i'm predicting a lot of people complaining about the game being on DVD in the box, as that was a collectors edition feature for both expansion and regular game and now anyone can get it for $40. (and smart people keep around a $2 trial DVD from bestbuy to reinstall if they didn't get the CE regular game..)

theres your new game.

Hint, when you download the free trial version, burn it to a CD (and also the major patches), so if your computer crashes, installing is slightly less painful. (as it is, you still have to go through 5ish patches)

Actually, one of the best things I've found is to burn your WoW directory to a DVD - you might have to compress it first. Do it after a patch and your GtG.
I had my main machine go tits up, and simply copied across my Wow directory from my laptop to my new machine.

Wow, nice. Those strategy guides are worthless, but being able to get both games for the price of one will be a big help for getting those who have yet to experience WoW "through the door", so to speak.

Those strategy guides are laughably out of date, unless their doing revised editions for this release.

@1
Put in a beta key, I'll, give ya (Blizz) 50 bucks.

The strategy guides totally sucks (I have both).
I wonder if the game is updated for Windows Vista because I had lots of problems installing the "old" copy.

I wonder if this means the expansion alone is going to drop to like $20. I know some people who still haven't upgraded.

Will you get 60 days free gameplay since it comes with both games, comparing to if you bought them separately you would get 2 lots of 30 days free???
erinp Oct 14th 2007 12:00PM
You don't get 30 days with BC separately either. 30 with Wow. 0 with BC. Battle Chest or seperate.
Deniz Nov 27th 2007 1:08PM
so when you buy the battle chest you dont get 30 days free ?

I found this set to be a great purchase to any newcomers that want to get the best of WoW at their first time playing it. I also found that copying the World of Warcraft folder from 'Applications' in Mac, or 'Program Files' in Windows is better than installing on another computer, which takes longer and not to mention the patches that might need to be downloaded.
