WoWDigger adds wishlists, quest and faction tracking
Since we last profiled the database site, WoWDigger.com, it has evolved into more than just a WoWHead clone. I found new functions that were helpful in planning my online activities.Using their downloadable client, you can create an Armory-like page of your character on the site. Then you can create a Wishlist duplicate template of your equipped gear and swap in pieces that you want to acquire to see exactly how it affects your stats, resists, damage ratios, mp5, crit chance, defense, etc. Great for planning on how to get that last bit of resilience to hit the cap or balancing your +heal and +spell damage.
Another function I like is the personalized quest page. You now have an offline list of all the quests in your quest log. Plan your next step to complete the quest and read up on any strats you'll need to know beforehand. Also, the site tracks all your reputation gains so you'll know how close you are to the next rep level for every faction in the game.
If you're like me and enjoy extensive planning and researching offline, I recommend checking out the latest improvements to WoWDigger. With CTProfiles down for now, its a great alternative. If anyone knows of other sites that provide similar services, feel free to list them in the comments.

Sounds like the ct_profiles replacement some people were after... I'm going to give a shot tonight.

I was going to try it out but when I went to register the system will not activate my account and says to re-create it. When I do that, I can't because now my username and email are in use on the borked account.
They need to fix that.
It sounds like the http://www.rpgoutfitter.com site I've been using for a long time, but with the ability to test out equipment and stats, which I think is nice. Too bad I can't get it to work.

Looks interesting but I'm not hot on using an exe. They should offer an option to manually input your gear.
Asteria Aug 22nd 2007 1:16PM
Apparently that's coming this week.

Manual input is coming this week apparently.

While none of the features are directly new, it is nice with some attention to the only gold-free (and ad-free as well), database site (sorry, was hacked, so I have an inborn hate towards the gold industry) ;-)
Regarding exe-files, it is Worldofwar.net that runs the digger site, they also run Diabloii.net since looong time back, and it is not like it is your average hacker page.
Still, there are a lot more people feeling like you (again, being hacked, I tend to dislike exe files just because of principle, even if the source is trusted), so I am sure that it will be possible to use it much like CT profiles soon enough. New features is sprouting out there almost every week...
If anyone need help to register there, their forum will probably help http://wow.incgamers.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=115

Why do they need a client or manual input for gear profiles.... *points at the armory*
Rushster Aug 22nd 2007 6:50PM
Thanks for the kind words Dan. Tekuubm, the armory doesn;t need a client becuase WoW is your client. Blizz stores your data every timne you play :)
I will confiorm that for those not wanting to use the WoWDigger client, the site will have a client free version by the end of this week. Some features such as banks won't be available however unless you use the client. But if you are preparing builds then you're set. This is also great for Mac users.
There is still LOADS to be added to WoWDigger so watch the site for more news as the dev team adds more. Thanks to everyone for the feedback so far.
Oh also a quick note. Ifanyone has not recieved a confrinmation email (gmail especiially) then don't worry, the mod team will activate your account manually so just try logging in with the client if your mail does not come through in a decent amount of time.

Hey Rushster,
Is there any known issue with stats not being calculated correctly on the Wish List page? I made a wish list comprised of my current gear with maybe 3 changes and although my HP went up by the expected amount my AP remained nearly the same and crit somehow dropped by 9%.
Rushster Aug 23rd 2007 9:00AM
Some stats are to be added, this is a first run of the Outfitter but there are a couple of things to still go in, hopefully this week we will be up to speed.

Good job on the site. Never knew it existed until now. I suspect I'll be using it quite often. Thanks!
