WoW Digger now offers manual equipment upload
Early in the week, we profiled some new features at WoW Digger. The item database site is expanding into quest and faction tracking as well as equipment comparison and wishlists. Until now, getting your character set up on their site required installing their executable program. With all the keylogger activity of late, many interested players were wary of running any executable on their machine.WoW Digger has come through with a non-executable method of getting your character info into their system. When you create an account on the site, you can tell it to pull your profile off of the Armory instead. Then you can go crazy with the equipment comparison.
This method, however, won't collect your current quest list or track your faction levels. And those two features are the two I enjoy the most. I personally feel this site is legitimate and will be using their executable to get the most out of it.

Too bad their drop down menu of US servers does not include mine (Area52)
Thumbs down.

Too bad their executable refuses to upload data on my system. They really need to publish a list of port forwards for it, so I can adjust my firewall to let it through.

Thanks for the post guys. In response to the above posteers. The missing servers is a known bug which we are sorting now. We haven't forgotten about you :)
There appears to be an uploading issue with the client which is affecteing a few people. We are on the case and hope to have it sorted soon. There is now weird firewall ports that need opening just so you know.
Thanks for the feedback guys.

If you are considering running their program, make sure you make a backup of your AddOns and WTF folders (and maybe your whole PC...) beforehand because their other AddOn related exe, UICentral, has deleted AddOns for myself and an unknown number of others - unknown because any suggestion that UICentral is not perfect has been deleted from their forums in the past.
It isn't likely to be a keylogger, but that doesn't mean it won't screw you over in some other way instead. As much as I'd like to run it, if I'm not confident an exe won't trash anything, I won't run it.
Now that you can pull info from the Armory though, I may use the rest of the site!

Trusted executable or not, it does me no good on a Mac.

If only it didn't take half an hour to upload everything, i might be more favorably disposed to the client.
