Realm-crashing exploit going around

Before you ask, no, I'm not going to reveal how to crash a realm in just a few simple steps. It would be chaos. However, there is, in fact, just such a technique making the rounds of the internet. Hopefully it will be fixed very soon -- one commenter I've seen says that his realm went down four times in 20 minutes. I'd say that qualifies as a serious problem. If you've been having realm stability issues lately, perhaps some jerks performing this exploit are to blame. And Blizzard? Please get this fixed ASAP.How's your realm been?
P.S. If you know the exploit, please don't post it here. Realm crashing is not cool. If you do post it, your comment will be deleted.
Update: Blue says a fix is on the way, without actually saying they're fixing a player exploit.

Hmm... The bug is fixed by now. I wonder how did they crash the servers?

hmm, my realm crashed while we were attempting kael in tk earlier at night. had to wait an hour before it got up again :o. barthilas, oceanic.

No problems with my realm (Dark Iron), but I have a friend on Kirin Tor that has been having issues with the server crashing.

My server (Quel'Doeri) crashed 7 times in one hour this weekend, wtf, why would anyone want to crash realms?

One of my main servers, Ravenholdt, cut out yesterday for less than a minute (I was able to immediately log back in).

Rad, were you guys the guild on Kael during his 5th phase when a crash happened? On the forums where this exploit was first brought up, they mentioned a guild on an Oceanic server that someone brought down.
Apparently a bunch of these guys have already received a few days banning for their actions. And from what I was reading, a few were trying to use the exploit to earn gold illicitly.
Oh and Galipan, some people are just assholes who take joy in exploiting the games..
And from what I understood the server crashes only lasted approx. 10 seconds long but it is enough to knock everyone out of the server to the character select screen.

Kirin Tor crashed at least six times yesterday, probably more since I waited 10 to 20 minutes between each crash before trying to log back in. Hope it's not some jerk causing these problems.

My guild on Stonemaul was making its best attempt ever on Gruul last night. Had him to 30% and were on track to beat him. Server went down and all the characters in gruuls were stuck there for about 45 mins.
Hope they fix this soon.

My server(Uther) several times last night. At least now I know it was due to idiots being idiots and not Blizzard being Blizzard

Tichondrius has been a mess all weekend due to this bug. Permabans all around, IMO.

My server (Hakkar PvP) crashed at least 6 times in 30 min. last night and my wife was flying during this time, when the server came back up she was stuck in "limbo" for about 20-30 min. unable to do anything.

Boulderfist has been crashing a few times in the last week or so, AND ON A HIGH KING FIGHT NO LESS.

When the exploit is used, it causes a crash of realm and instance servers. Realms are available within a minute or two. Instance servers are taking anywhere from 30-60min to come back up, locking the full raid of characters in there during that time.

Suramar was going up and down for almost three hours Sunday night. We wound up canceling both of my guild's Karazhan teams. /sigh

this happened on Cenarius a couple of weeks ago, during a Gruul raid. I figured it was just a conspiracy to prevent my from getting my T4 shoulders.

No problems on Lightbringer that I have noticed so far. From what I have read, it sounds very easy to do, so I hope they fix this soon before it gets out of control.

Kil'Jaeden (US-PVP) was going down like crazy last night. I heard talk of something to do with Arenas. Not sure.
