WoW Insider and WoW Radio present: The WoW Insider Show

We want your insight and your comments, too: our show email will be theshow@wow.com, and that's where you'll be able to send insights both during and after the show. And we'll hook you up for your input-- while you're listening live, you'll be given the chance to win swag as well. For our first show, going down this Saturday, September 1st, we'll be giving away one of our biggest prizes yet: an ingame Murloc suit from BlizzCon. Listen in to learn how to win your chance to wear one of these!
WoW Insider. WoW Radio. Two of the biggest names in the World of Warcraft community have teamed up to bring you the ultimate World of Warcraft podcast. You have any idea how difficult it's been to keep our mouth's shut about this? :P
We're looking forward to hosting with WoW Insider and providing, as usual, a quality WoW podcast. Hope you guys enjoy it.

Im actually pretty excited to listen in on this one.
Felspawn Aug 27th 2007 5:12PM
The only comment i remember out of TB was him complaining how only Holy Paladins are worth bringing on a raid, which is a pretty ahole thing to say. Not that i disagree with him as a former pally thats been around since beta that finally gave up and is now a Warlock. Just hurts a little. ;)
That said i look forward to the podcast. I love wowinsider and have high hopes for it

I think this is fantastic, two of my favorite community sites coming together in what I am sure will be a great collaboration!
Mats Aug 27th 2007 4:21PM
Will you beat down the awesomeness of Legendary Thread? Only time will tell.
Trunade Aug 27th 2007 4:30PM
'Bout time.
Oh and thanks for giving me something new to listen to at the gym in the mornings.
Anomis Aug 27th 2007 4:41PM
Please digg this
Romax Aug 27th 2007 4:41PM
Congrats. Plz make it available on itunes! :)
zeem Aug 27th 2007 4:45PM
@4 Why? Legendry thread has sucked ever since that scarab lord guy (sorry forgot his name) left? The real competition is the likes of the instance and World of warcast, hopefully it will good (unlike Totalbiscuits new show)
Drain Aug 27th 2007 4:49PM
As long as no one from WoWInsider decides they are experts on warlocks all of a sudden then I'm sure this show will be awesome.
I'm serious, don't even fucking try it.
TotalBiscuit Aug 27th 2007 4:50PM
@8 Sorry you don't like it, but ya really couldn't pay me to bring Blue Plz! back. Sorry, s'just what I wanna do right now, if my fanbase gets reduced as a result, so be it, it's a hobby, not a job.

I'll check it out, but I think it needs to be a lot more than just a rehash of WoW Insider articles. I read them during the week and so will need some new content to keep me listening.
The WoW podcasts that I listen to more are the ones that bring me good info but really are done by people who love playing the game. Give me your experience and insight of the game not just news that I can get anywhere else online.
IMHO, this is why The Instance is not the show it used to be. It used to be news with fun stuff about playing the game. Now it's just news with too many generic/non-personal references to the game.
TotalBiscuit Aug 27th 2007 5:04PM
@11 - The way myself, Mike and Elizabeth invision this thing to be is to go 'inside' of the WoW Insider articles, take them one-stage further. You cannot cover an entire topic in a 500 word blog article. It warrants discussion, argument and counter-argument, different perspectives from different people who've had different experiences with the game. The excitement, cut and thrust of lively debate, and the provocation of thought from the listener, via the in-depth discussion of the topic by hosts who really know their game inside out.
I'm sure WoW Insider will be releasing some more information as the week goes on, and you can check out and ask questions in this comment thread and on our WoW Insider Show forum.

Congratulations and good luck.
TotalBiscuit Aug 27th 2007 5:17PM
@14 - Show me a Black Temple raid with Ret pallies in it and I'll show you a magetank :P When they fix 'em, maybe they'll get taken to raids ;)

Mike Schramm Aug 27th 2007 5:47PM
Thanks for all the kind words, all. Yeah, we're aiming for an extension of this content, rather than just a rehash. It'll be a chance for us to go more in-depth on the stuff we post here, as well as get more of your views, or answer questions that you all have during the week. Listen in Saturday and see what you think. I think it's going to be a lot of fun. :)

I am a huge, massive, fan of both WoW Insider and WoW Radio - combining them will be.. legendary!
Medros Aug 27th 2007 7:34PM
If you were doing it solo, I would consider listening. Too bad I won't listen to WoW Radio anymore. Good luck to the WoW Insider folks though.

As a donator to WC Radio and huge frequenter to Wowinsider.com, I can't say how excited I am for this. Haveing seen Wowinsiders hosts on TV, I am confident that this will soon be a staple show for Wow radio and will help bring the station to the next level. Is Maxspeed getting moved back?
