Bring an old guildmate back to life

Blizzard is now offering a new twist on the Recruit-A-Friend program. They want you to send out invitations to your friends who used to play WoW, but have canceled more than 90 days ago. The offer is for a 10 day free trial of the Burning Crusade. If they accept and become a paid subscriber, you get a free month of Warcraft.
You can have up to 5 invitations out at once and each person has up to a month to reply before the invitation expires and that slot opens up to you to send out another.
This is pretty smart, IMHO. We've all known guildmates who have disappeared since the summer began. If they've been thinking of coming back, at least you can get a month free subscription out of it. Check out the FAQ for full details.

Sounds like something that can be abused pretty easily. I'm sure a lot of us know that person who can't play for a month or two, but will always come back (I'm one of them). It'd be pretty easy to get yourself a free month by finding one of those people.

@1 It's a TBC trial, so my guess is that it only applies to people who haven't bought TBC.
I wonder if it's cumulative with the existing 10 day TBC trial, or whether it's exactly the same thing.

too bad to accept the "resurrection" you have to have been away from wow for 90 days.

I want inscriptors to have the ability to once a day make a scroll that can be used to grant the person it's used on a single ability of the person who made the scroll. A druid with a Scroll of Redemption could case top level Redemption for half an hour. A Warrior with a Scroll of Regrowth would be able to cast a regrowth once a minute for half an hour, and the like.

This sounds like a nice idea to me. It'd be nice to bring back one of my friends who quit wow and later moved away to bridge the contact gap.
Honestly I think someone on my server's already used and brought us one of our old Scarab Lords. Was nice to add "Phaze the scarab lord" and "Scarab lord on legendary mount to my screenshot folder"
