Gronn sculpture in progress from the EU forums

Anyway, what Varedis has so far looks pretty good-- you can see how the clay gets modeled around a metal frame, shaped into the basic pose, and then each body part is fleshed out and shaped. So far all he's got is a right hand, it seems, but what's there looks good.
He's also working on a Tauren sculpture (concurrently, I guess), which also looks pretty good. Very good start, can't wait to see how the whole thing comes out.

I don't know if the lore fell through the cracks so much as the Gronn don't care if they're loved, but really enjoy being feared. The Ogri'la quests indicate that some ogres are trying to free themselves from Gronn rulership.
http://www.wowwiki.com/Mog%27dorg_the_Wizened - this ogre in particular seems to think that the Gronn are oppressing the ogres.

Just because you worship them doesn't mean they have to like you.
In fact, worshipping them because they're evil, sadistic bastards is probably a good idea, so they kill you last.

Yeah, in the lore ands stories, the Gronn were always very violent toward their progeny, which is why even in Rise of the Horde, the Ogres rose up to throw off their Gronn oppressors and joined the horde.

Going off Greek mythology, being a demigod means you're *more* likely to be a homicidal maniac than not....
