Nihilum raided Leipzig as Ogres

Last month in Leipzig, uber Euro guild Nihilum downed Archimonde in front of the crowd at the Games Convention. Ho hum, they've done this before -- the difference this time was that they raided as Ogres.
Upper Deck Entertainment has a UDE Points Store where you can purchase the Ogre Disguise Trinket. Unlike the Murloc Suit obtained at BlizzCon which is a buff that disappears after entering combat, the Ogre Disguise Trinket (as you can tell by its name) takes up a trinket slot but remains on during battle.
All 25 members of Nihilum's raid donned their Ogre Disguise Trinkets and killed Archimonde appearing in nothing but loincloths and armbands. It is unclear if they purchased these trinkets themselves (they are fans of the TCG and one of them has the Spectral Tiger Mount) or if UDE provided them.
For the full story and more screenshots, go to the article at the UDE website. Or go take a look at how to get UDE points and what other items you can get with them.
(Update: <fires unpaid proofreader> Errors fixed. Sorry for the mixup.)

25,0000 USD for a full raid of ogres... I doubt they actually bought it. Or they used the ogre suit from Dire Maul

Ok, I don't normally comment on the writing skills of the posters of articles here. Wowinsider is (with respect) after all, just a Blog site.
But when the blog post is about Nihilum killing "Illidan" as a bunch of ogres, then the poster mentions that they killed "Nihilum" :-/, then the link points to an article which talks about them Killing Archimonde dressed as Ogres ... I have to raise my disapproval of the quality of this particular post.
Please fix it Robin, the article is 4 short paragraphs long and there are 2 HUGE errors in it ... that's not a good hit rate.
Even the kill shot posted is one of Archimonde, not Illidan !

Please correct that all that terrible mistakes in that article.

What about that lone Tauren that got left out????

I don't even most Joe WoWAddict gives two craps about Nihulum. Especially in something as irrelevant as dowing Illidan or in this case Archimonde (which I assume they have done several times since they did it months ago) in ogre suits. They still had the gear from those previous fights so I am not that they lost a trinket spot and was still able to do it.
Now if they do it in their underwear (and I mean in game, not IRL) and only used fists and rank 1 spells, then I'd be impressed.

I have to agree with what I think #6 was trying to imply. Who cares? World of Nihilumcraft?
Some want to equate this obsession with Nihilum to that one finds in sports, or that which is displayed in Hollywood "stargazing". But I don't agree with those either. Just because a baseball pitcher is "the greatest", or an actor or actress is "legendary", does not mean that everyone will or should obsess over them, or even like or respect them for that matter. Yet these are the reason I have seen here by those who chose to support this obsession over one guild. "Because they did it first/best/fastest/dressed as clowns/the fastest dressed as clowns/etc..." Regardless of accomplishments in WoW, they will slip into the same obscurity that the highest score holder ever on PacMan now resides. Their accomplishments in game are and should be for their own personal satisfaction, and I don't begrudge them their personal satisfaction, but the obsession displayed by some is scary.

Oh god, my bad grammar strikes again.

This article reeks of Loss.
I better to bake a carecake. Wowinsider? Time to replace some of your writers.
Good thing I use AdBlock so I don't accidently support this crap with money.

why people spew their disgust over articles yet seems to come back for more is a mystery to me. if you don't like it, get the * out of here and stop complaining!

This article is showcasing a new special game item from Upper Deck (the WoW TCG guys) - a new toy! - which some people would find quite cool. It happens to do so by reference to a screenshot of Nihilum dressing their entire raid as ogres, bar the one cow. They were presumably able to do this tanks to UDE's help in order to show off the new "points" thing.
If you're posting hate messages because "ogmf anthoers NIHILUDFM post wtf HOO KARZE"... might I suggest that you seem to have missed the point.

CiM - I must point out that this is in no way new and has been around since the launch of the base set for the card game, which would be approximately 1 year ago. That's how old the news actually is.
However, the interest in Nihilum is not entirely unjustified. Their website gets a shedload of hits and has a large community that rivals this one. Certainly among the raiding community (a community that consists of around 1.5 million people at this point in time according to WoWJutsu), they are, while not universally liked, considered to be top of the game and an example as to how hardcore guilds should play. They are the trailblazers, developing the tactics while the rest of the game follows and in a game with 9 million players, sure, the game needs a few celebrities, it's a social game after all, it's a natural reaction in such an environment.

AMG NO WAI!
Liek Nihium did something they did a bunch of times before? Dressed as ogres? I mean OGRES?!
I better go get the care-police!
(yes, misspelling was intentional)

#15 Because the world (of Warcraft) does not revolve around a solitary guild, regardless of accomplishments. The title of the article is enough to turn off many people who read this and who are saturated with Nihilum already. The title should read something like "New Ogre Suite Trinket! Get it While it's Hot!" (or something along those lines), use the picture of Nihilum if you want, with a caption. As it reads now, it is another Nihilum post. You don't know it is about the trinket until you read the article, and enough people are turned off about Nihilum that they won't read the article after reading the headline. Tagging everything possible with "Nihilum does..." as some of the bloogers here seem to have a penchant for, gets old, and it smacks a bit of toadyism.

@ all the hecklers. Do you people really have nothing better to do? O.o Nobody cares that you're bored... go entertain yourself somewhere else.

Um, you tards!
1. The Ogre Suit from DM is a different color, and is one-time use.
2. The Ogre Trinket from the CCG is reusable, and turns you into a red Ogre (as seen above in the SS).
3. This is not new. I've had one for at least 4 months... I'm pretty sure it's been around a LOT longer.
4. EACH Ogre trinket costs, I shit you not, 25,000 UDE points, which is literally 250 individual packs of cards. I'm sorry, there's NO WAY the members of Nihilium each went out and bought 250 packs of cards @4 a pop. Of course, anything's possible with those tards.
