Blizzard tips on Ogri'la faction
Blizzard has posted a new faction guide on their official site. The Ogri'la faction, introduced in Patch 2.1, resides on the western part of the Blade's Edge Mountains. Gaining exalted with these enlightened ogres doesn't get you a fancy epic flying mount (directly) or the key to Karazhan, but attaining Exalted will net you a good deal of gold and access to epic faction rewards. I won't go into the details of all the quest chains. Blizzard's guide plus WoW Wiki's Ogri'la page do a great job of that. But I'm in the middle of this quest series myself and have a few tips of my own to share:
- You don't have to be grouped to finish the Mog'dorg quest chain. Just tag along with another group doing it and you'll be able to get the quest turn ins after each kill.
- The Ogri'la quest line will open up additional Shatari Skyguard faction quests (and get you closer to riding that nether ray)
- OgriLazy is a great AddOn for remembering the color sequence combinations of the Relic's Emanation daily quest.
- Druid flight form is NOT immune to the dismount debuff of the Fel Cannons during the bombing run missions.
- The Badge of Tenacity is one of the best non-raid tanking trinkets in the game, especially for feral druids.

Note: Druids can be knocked out of Flight Form by Fel Cannons, but they're also the only ones who can revert back into said Flight Form and avoid fall damage altogether.

Simon quest (Relic's Emanations) tip: Use your chat input and number pad to positionally note the sequences when they get too long to remember. Also, going past 8 doesn't appear to have any actual benefit (you get the same buff at 10 as you do at 8).
Bombing run tip: If you are in flight form or on a flying mount, you're a target, even if you're not flying. Also, the guns are smart enough to target where you're going to be, so turn or switch altitude every 2-3 seconds and you'll be able to avoid most hits.
Use your shards to buy potions in Bash'ir to make doing the daily quests easier. The potions last through death and logout, and can also be sold to a vendor, so you can convert those stacks of 250 shards into money, rather than just dusting them.

I'm glad that "OgriLazy" mod was mentioned - it is the purest of win!

The crystalforged sword ( http://www.wowhead.com/?item=32660 ) is probably the only *true* pally tanking weapon in the game.

Heh, why didn't I think of that? Time to reclaim 6 bank slots and make some money. I am exalted and have over 1600 of the darn things (the quests are still easy/fun money). I guess I was hoping they'd have some other use.

The Crystalline Orb of Enlightenment faction reward http://www.wowhead.com/?item=32651 is an excellent caster off-hand. There's slight upgrades in Karazhan, and of course more beyond, but this is easy to get solo.

Easy to solo? How do you get 4 apexis crystals?

The best thing to do with the fel cannons and an epic mount is the following:
1) find a person on a slow mount you'd like to grief
2) fly circles around said person as fast as possibile, drawing fel cannon fire in that persons direction.
3) Watch that person fall to their death, laughing all the while.

You can also sell the flasks made from shards at auction, they often go for 2-4g each on my server.
Not nearly enough demand to use up all those shards though...

I hate to blow my own horn, but if you are looking for a more complete guide to exactly what you need to do each step of the way to reach friendly with Ogri'la, you might want to check out the Daily Quests guides I posted on my blog at
http://bigbearbutt.blogspot.com/2007/08/daily-quests-part-two-becoming-neutral.html
Each guide I've written so far can be found linked at the side of the page, so you don't have to hunt through the archives.
I hope that helps.

#3: Actually, the buffs from 8 and 10 aren't the same, the first one lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes, while the second one lasts for 2 hours.

One thing not mentioned in the "attunement questline" tip is that if you tag along with another group don't expect to get any thing if you in any way hurt the gronn's at all during that groups fights, it bugs up and the lootables don't spawn, you need to be in the group to fight at all.. at least on Elune any way.

You use the number pad to mark the sequence? Why not just type the letter of each color?

Badge of Tenacity is one THE best out there for the tanking druid. There is no other trinket out there that can match its level of armor for a trinket slot. It will only be replaced once a druid has enough armor on all his other slots to hit the armor cap (75% mitigation).

Cool! How much do the flasks vendor for?
