Daze of our lives season finale: changes not incoming
Just like a soap opera, the "daze" ability has had a lot of ups and downs lately. First they said it was working fine, then they said it wasn't working fine. Well, now they say it is working fine after all. Drysc tells us:A change to the "Daze" mechanic was originally planned for introduction in patch 2.2. This change would have removed additional defense rating as a factor in reducing the chance of being dazed, equalizing the chance for heavy armor wearers to become dazed as compared to light armor wearers. With further testing and discussion it was decided that players would be too negatively affected in their ability to tank and reposition their targets, and this change will no longer be included with 2.2. We currently have no plans to reintroduce this change at a later time.
Apparently the developers really do listen to what the forum goers say and go try things out for themselves now and then. Now, at last, we can put the whole issue to rest.

It only makes sense that someone in heavier armor runs less risk of getting dazed than someone not wearing armor at all.

To be fair, if you've got the decency as a Warrior to not go MS and be Protection, like you should, then you deserve to be less likely dazed.

Speaking of which, why has WoW Insider not had a series of stories on this? The Orc shoulder issue has ruined the game for thousands of people.

If the fact that your shoulders are a little bit smaller makes you want to quit the game, then something is very, very, very wrong with you.

All I can do is LOL at that comment.
I cannot possibly take anyone seriously who would make a comment like that.
First of all, it's purley cosmetic. Are you so worried about your orcs shoulders being that much larger than everyone else's? Secondly, does it decrease performance of said shoulder item based on size?
The answer to the first question I leave to you. The second question is really self-explanitory, but I will elaborate anyway. The stats are the same on the shoulders no matter what race or class is wearing them. They still provide the same + to stats and other bonuses regardless of size...so really all you are talking about is something purely cosmetic. Cosmetic fixes like that should certainly take a back seat to many of the other mechanical changes that need to be fixed.
I have orc characters, and honestly, who cares what the shoulders look like as long as they do the job they are designed to do...deal with it...

Well thank god for that. I was pretty annoyed when I read about the change, it was a horrible nerf. First off from how I understand it armor doesn't matter, cloth or plate, its defense skill.
A DPS warrior with zero +def skill has the same chance to be dazed as a mage.
Assuming a paladin/warrior/druid is running in pure tanking gear with 520 def skill, he should damn well get a bonus from it. A mage or any DPS class in their armor they get from that can kill things 3 times as quick then as if they were stripped, why shouldn't the tanking classes get some benefit from their high cost armor.
Now all they need to do is normalise repair costs.

The so called 'nerf' on locks and priest DoT's is a total f**king joke...
Resilience rating does virtually NOTHING to DoT's effects.. but there again did we REALLY expect it to?
