Around Azeroth: The Lament of the Highborne
There's a lot of talk about the Lament of the Highborne lately due to a recent Blizzard machinima release. However, the Lament of the Highborne made its first appearence in the World of Warcraft as part of a Ghostlands quest, from where reader Lee snapped this shot. (Video of the event may also be interesting for those of you who have never done this particular quest line.) WoWWiki provides us with a rough translation of the song, as follows:

I rolled a BELF just to do this quest (before videos were available on youtube) was totally worth it. Its even on the soundtrack in the limited edition TBC

I've done it a few times, but I always have music turned off in the game, so I've never heard it til that video.

I handed in this quest late one night at around 2am in a dark room, with headphones on, without knowing what was expecting me. It was a profound "Whoa!" experience. Such a beautiful song.
