Have you had your moment yet?

By "your moment" I mean that one, shining, crystalline moment of clarity when you finally feel like you 'get' World of Warcraft and why you play it. Technically as a player you could have many such moments - perhaps the first time you make a kill in PvP and finally feel like you understand how to do it, or the first time you successfully run an instance, or the first time you tank a major boss, or the first time your raid drops a major progession milestone... but it's just as likely to be when you dinged 40 and got your mount, or first stepped through the Dark Portal into outland. It's unique to you and yet you may well share it with hundreds if not more of your fellow players.
For me, the biggest moment was also my biggest screwup - tanking Onyxia in PvP gear with a 2h weapon. It made the game really click for me because 20 people pulled together in the face of my colossal screwup to kill Ony anyway. I've really never felt closer to a guild before or since than I did at that moment, and I've never had such a feeling of triumph when the boss finally hit the ground. It wasn't our first Ony kill, we were on much more challenging content, and I've since gone on to raid level 70 instances... but that Ony kill was special.
So I ask you, gentle (and not so gentle) readers: what was your moment? Have you had it yet?

11k soulfire on a warrior. I've had big numbers, but he was running the flag in a premade vs premade WSG that was tied at 2-2. Flag carriers ran past each other, and one big fireball came through the air 1 shotting their flag carrier.

First Hakkar kill in ZG, with a guild that had around 10 people when I joined at level 30 or so and which I got to see growing, developing and finally reaching something merely big. That was one very precious moment.

I remember the first time I ran Mara with a real, pre-made group. It was the first instance I ran without a PUG and the smoothness of it and the way we actually were able to go through each pull working together without any wipes was just so much fun. It was the first time I actually found an instance to be more fun than it was frustrating. That's when it really clicked for me what this game was about.

My moment was when I ran SM/Armory with a guildie and the rest was PUG. At the end the others said that me and my guildie were "totally awesome and kick ass". I'm a hunter and he's a druid. My second moment was when the husband of our GM said I was the best hunter he's ever played with. That was when I started questing like a madwoman to get to 60. I dinged 67 last night. I'm taking my time, learning my hunter and new skills level by level.

My special moment was meeting my fiance on World of Warcraft on the Feathermoon server. We clicked instantly and were from opposite ends of the country. He lived in the luxury life of Los Angeles, California. I lived in a small farm town in Wentzville, Missouri. After three months of in game chat, play, instances, fights, etc...we finally met face to face and got engaged!
I guess my special moment is finding happiness not only in a game, but happiness in life itself! ^_~

Im a 70 Tankadin that recently ran Shattered Halls with a competent group. We got the the end and I engaged Warchief Kargath Bladefist, we were doing well but when he approached 20% health he started taking people out. Bottom line is that I ended up the only one alive with boss at between 3-5% health, i bubbled up to save 12 seconds, then when he had me low health I Laid on Hands to myself and took his ass out with about 25% health left. I revived everyone and we looted and cheered! I get how to tank and I know how to survive, my party did everything they needed to before croaking. A great moment for me.

Being asked to sub in as Tank on the 2nd boss of Shadow Labs when the guilds main raiding tank had to leave after 40 minutes of wiping on the boss. I was a newly 70 feral druid and had been having difficulty really being confident that feral druids could tank harder content. I'd just finished crafting my heavy clefthoof set. I came in, we killed the boss on the first try, cleanly. I used all the tricks bears can. And got such good feedback that I never really doubted my tanking again. I'm now tanking SSC/TK. I've tanked every boss in Karazhan except Nightbane (and he'd be easy if we had a fear-ward priest).
All in all it was really nice coming in and being the star and seeing my class perform as it should.

When I was around level 20, I went into the Deadmines for the first time with a PUG and one friend. I had rolled a priest to heal, but I didn't really understand what that meant yet. Everyone in the group died except me and the tank on Mr. Smite. I kept the tank up and we went on to victory. It was the first time that I "saved the day". That's when I knew I loved this game.

I play to lead.

Probably the first time I stunlocked someone two levels higher than me and tore them to shreds. I know the player wasn't very good, but it really got me excited to keep playing and to do it more....hopefully against a better opponent next time.

Your 'my moment' seems conspicuously contrived.

I only get one? *blinks* Then I kind of hope I haven't had it yet.

I was an up and coming warrior in a newly formed raiding guild. We ran MC and our MT died right at the beginning of the Magmadar because he didn't know how to stance dance. I jumped right in and tanked away and we downed him for the guild's first Mag kill.
I then was known as a solid tank who knew how to play the class, but was quickly replaced when I couldn't meet all the raids on the guild's 5-night a week raid schedule. That's when I knew what WoW was all about: Hardcore Raider w/ gear >>> Casual Raider w/ skill

1) Tanking ony for the first time (as fury, back when you could tank just as well without prot).
2) Last friday, OTing curator in dps+stam gear, having the tank die and tanking him for the last 60% (switching to board and sword but no def gear)
3) Heroic SL, get 2nd boss to 30% (evil mass MC :

The first time I used my Arena Grand Master trinket. In the mid levels it basically gives you a quick and short pally shield.
We were on the boss in the Sunken Temple that I had that long and annoying quest chain to call. Everyone went down including the tank, my pet shortly after, and he still had nearly half health. I wing clipped, ran & shot, rinse, repeat, and then popped that trinket for the first time and Hunter melee'd a boss.
It was amazing.

Meh @ above, using less than tags is a no no it seems
should be:
"3) Heroic SL, get 2nd boss to 30% (evil mass MC :() DPS all dead, Me tanking and Resto shammy are left, shammy discovers he can drink after MC. Slowly whittle him down to 2% and the shammy goes offline, boss kills me at 1%, goes to hit the shammy and gets owned by the lightning shield that he made him cast when MC'd"

My first exploration to Hyjal (Not COT Hyjal, Current Hyjal) made me realize that I play WoW to explore areas that are hidden away and not accessable to players. It has also made me ask questions like, "Why did Blizz create this area?" or "When will this area be unlocked for players?" and even "Why would Blizz keep this cool of a place to themselved?! >.
