Two Bosses Enter: Baron Geddon vs. Lady Vashj

Welcome to another edition of Two Bosses Enter, WoW Insider's series of fantasy boss deathmatches. Every week we pair up two new bosses from the World of Warcraft and pit them against one another in a fight to the death -- and eventually, one will walk away the ultimate winner. This week we're considering a fight between one of Ragnaros' many minions in the Molten Core -- Baron Geddon -- and Serpentshrine Cavern's own Lady Vashj. Though these bosses come from vastly different level instances, don't let that fool you -- we're here to talk theorycraft, and that means considering how these two bosses would realistically fare against one another and not just making a list of everyone's hit points and damage ranges. So are you curious about these two bosses -- or already have an opinion? Keep reading for more info and your chance to vote.

As a fire elemental, Geddon's primary source of damage is unsurprisingly fire-based. (Feel free to debate all you wish in the comments about whether or not Lady Vashj has a set of fire resist gear for such an occasion -- I'm guessing she doesn't.) He has three main methods of attack:
Lady Vashj relies on a combination of melee, ranged, and magic damage to take on her opponents. Since we're considering these fights to take place on neutral ground, with neither party having home court advantage, we're going to talk about Vashj's own attacks, and not her numerous helpers within Serpentshrine or her handy shield (basically, we're skipping phase 2). But even without these considerations, Vashj is no pushover, and has access to some powerful attacks:
- Inferno: An AoE attack that radiates outward from Geddon and pulses ten times over ten seconds, doing more fire damage with each pulse.
- Ignite Mana: A DoT that burns a player's mana and health in equal amounts.
- Living Bomb: Geddon may pick any of his opponents and occasionally turning them into a living bomb. After a moment, the target will explode, causing damage to themselves and anyone nearby.
Lady Vashj relies on a combination of melee, ranged, and magic damage to take on her opponents. But even without these considerations, Vashj is no pushover, and has access to some powerful attacks:
- Shoot/multishot: From range, Vashj can shoot single or multiple targets with her bow.
- Shock Burst: Nature damage plus a 5-second stun.
- Entangle: Roots the target in place and does nature damage over time.
- Static Charge: Does nature damage to te target and anyone in the veciinty of the target.
- Forked Lightning: More nature damage, targeting anyone in front of Lady Vashj.

Vashj would bug out and win

Here's what would most likely happen:
Geddon will rush at Vashj, who is shooting Geddon (because no one in melee range). Then they will attack each other, Geddon using Ignite Mana and Living Bomb, Vashj using Shock Burst and Static Charge. Vashj will probably be doing the most damage, for Static Charge is a very high hitting DoT, a lot stronger than Ignite Mana.
Eventually, Vashj will use Entangle, run away and start shooting Geddon (for those who say 'But Vashj doesn't have AI!', "After some time in the fight she'll use Entangle. Whenever she does that, she moves to the edge of the inner ring and begins to use her bow and alternatively Multishot and Shoot.". Shoot and Multi-shot are pretty hard hitting, so I believe Vashj will win out over Geddon.
Also, you need to remember that most Molten Core bosses are rather simple, with just a few abilities to deal with (running away when Geddon Infernoes, runing away when you have Living Bomb, etc). That is why few Molten Core bosses have won so far.

Some matchups should prove interesting, like Kel'Thuzad vs Archimonde.

Does Vashj take falling damage? Because if so, it's over.

I say Geddon and here is why. 1) A stun attack normally doesn't work so well against a boss. 2) Neither does a snare affect. 3) It is pretty damn hard to shoot a bow in melee range.
Mind you the AoE affects of both bosses will be less affective, simply because we all know how well AoE is for 1v1, so Vashj no running when she is the bomb isn't a big deal. What is a big deal is that she can't get away from him to put out her ranged attacks. Also, assuming as we do for these things, equal footing in damage and hp, Geddon going boom could be clincher.

We have to know if Vashj will run away when he goes inferno and if she will take stupid amounts of fall damage if she doesn't tank him in the cave.

Isn't Baron Geddon immune to nature damage like most elementals are? If so, won't he win hands down as most of Vashj's abilities are nature based?

Baron is a fire elemental.
vashj does alot of nature based attacks
vashj looses !
