Forum Post of the Day: Shadow of the Death Knight
I love fan fiction, I always have. There is a point where an author or artist ends the story and those that have been enthralled with it pick it up and continue the journey. With WoW the opportunities for fan fiction are numerous, since it's a persistent world we roam, and we make what we will of the characters we play. I guess you could say our role play today is the fan fiction of tomorrow. Thus it was with relish that I began reading the tale of Spooner, a paladin struggling in a world of frustration until he finally encounters his ultimate form. I won't spoil it for you, and I'm sure there is considerable debate that could arise from this author's viewpoint, but remember, it's how he sees the progression in the game, and to some extent so do I. Anyway when you have a moment pop on over to the European forums where this story was posted and add a little art to your day.

clearly one of the better fan fictions written out there with so much truth woven through it. Unfortunate that the only blue response wouldn't confirm how things really are.

what scares me is the the Deathknight is looked at as holding the answer to many classes issues. Most prot warriors look at deathknight and see redemption from their wasted hours spent grinding for repair money when it takes most classes minutes. If warriors arent fixed soon they may dissappear entirely in the next expansion.

I wish the author knew how to spell or how to form meaningful sentences and paragraphs.

I loved the story... it conveyed a feeling I had about my paladin... I didnt lvl her to be ret.. or prot... she has been holy all the way...
She was my first 60 pre TBC and I use to love playing her... before I heard the words Nerf and understood its meaning.. All I understood was the fun I had while being her..
The story made me realize that people will always find ways of making something great into something less so... Ive never played Ret or prot.. to understand Spooners loss but I can empathise... to me the vision of a Paladin was one of epic fantasy tales..
Holy Warrior... unleashing gods judgement on those unworthy... a protector.. untainted by evil... this has been my interpretation at least... whether a dictionary states otherwise.. it doesnt matter :P
To the poster about the spelling... Edit it change it.. and see if your version will make it better :) if it doesnt... then perhaps there is nothing in the story to edit?
