WoW Moviewatch: Gutrot's Sen'jin Beach Party
Perhaps you've heard of Gutrot? If not, now's as good a time as any to get to know him. He's a Troll Warrior playing on Aerie Peak (EU). But he's not just any Troll -- Gutrot spent his journey through Azeroth and Outland without armor or weapons, equipping himself only with a loincloth. This weekend, Gutrot made it to level 70 and decided to celebrate with, what else, a naked Troll party! I wasn't there, but at least I can enjoy the fun vicariously with this video.

Can you imagine how much fun it would be to say "Sure!" every time some random person sends you a "Will you tank Slabs/Mech/Heroic MT for us?"

that has got to be bull, a 1 on 1 fight with a monster 10 levels under him must take 10 min. I remember getting my unarmed skill up with full armor on and I could barely handle the sheer lameness of the fight.

@2, no it doesn't seem to be. Go look at his weapon proficiencies on armory.

@2 it's not bull at all (can only assume you arnt on WoW EU), good ol' Gutrot is quite the famous troll for us in the EU. Stickies, blues, everything - we are now trying to get Blizz to put a statue of him ingame :)

Gutrot is my hero! ;-) And no, not bull at all, I've been following his forum thread for several months now, and armory can prove it; his only weapon skill above zero is thrown, where he has a +5 racial bonus. Utterly insane, I can't begin to imagine how many times he must have died, but all credit to him for reaching 70 like that.

It looks like the server was starting to fail at the end, there. :)

@6 fail? oh yes it did indeed fail!

how cool would it be if there was a movie theater in org and sw where we could watch the latest machinima

Now what would be *really* slick is if they added Unarmed Special Attacks to Warriors so that at certain levels of Unarmed skill you could seek out a special trainer (modeled after Gutrot himself?) and learn additional attacks that don't require melee weapons.

Last time I checked his gear, he had on a cloak, rings and trinkets. I guess he just didn't put on any "durability" gear.

I was there xD

Given the fact he is almost revered with every race I'd guess he might've done every race's 1-10 and 11-20 zones. Still I'm interested to see how he did it. I have too little patience to die 10381927 times.

Too bad it was too late when I found out about this party, I would have loved to join it. Kudos to Gutrot!

Hmmm.. fist weapons, maybe?
And while I may not know much about Trolls, I feel pretty safe is saying that they would NOT play "Eye of the Tiger" at a naked Troll party.

I was there, in the actual guild (I joined months ago as 'Mclaglen'), on the edge of the beach hut, sitting next to the Big Troll himself. You can make me out; I'm the furthest to the right at 4:48 remaining. People from other servers (and non-Hordies) rolled new trolls and joined a guild called 'Gutrot's Party Crew'. After calling the 300+ party crew members (yes, really) over from the village, everyone gathered at the fishing hut on the southern coast.
After an in-character speech, the ding was achieved by summoning the good ol' Archmage Vargoth image. The fireworks started flying at that point, bringing down the server in a bright blue/green/red explosion. The rest of the above video is self-explanatory.
...And it looks like I waited too long to edit my footage into a video. Bah.
