Ya I don't like this build very much. Missing important points in key areas, like Chain Heal as #1 already said. Thats' our bread and butter.
And I don't find Ancestral Knowledge to be all that critical, it's only worth a couple hundred mana. And if you have half-decent gear, imo it's worth putting those points into Nature's Guardian to make you harder to take down instead. Neither one of those talents will make or break you.
Here's a spec I'd recommend if you want Resto with a side of pewpew.

But I agree with #1 that it's pretty hard for shammies to try and hybrid. I don't recommend trying it. And once patch 2.3 comes we shouldn't have to since we will see a nice dps buff.
