New Hallow's End non-combat pet: the Sinister Squashling
Looks like the Headless Horseman of WoW's upcoming Hallow's End seasonal event has another treat up his sleeve. Included on his loot table along with Flying Brooms and purple rings is a new non-combat pet, the Sinister Squashling.Defeating the Horseman for this evil little gourd is no easy feat. It requires a full group of L70s, one of which needs a Daily Quest given out only during the Hallow's End event. Once the Horseman is defeated in the Scarlet Monastery graveyard instance, the new pet then only has a 25% or so chance of dropping.
For you pet completist out there, this is a must have. For everyone else, it definitely tops the cool list. Hallow's End is scheduled to begin October 18 and run daily through November 1.

25% drop rate? That means it's going to be pretty common. Hopefully it'll be green so people have to roll on it and it's not just who ever happens to be lucky enough to have loot on him.

I wonder, if you had a group of 5 70s, and one has the daily at a time, could you possibly get 5 shots per day at the boss? I mean SM is super easy for a single 70, nevermind 5 of them, so it would be a simple shot to go one at a time to get the daily... right?

You need a full party of 70s to take down the horseman. He's a 70+ elite.

So the quests in a level 45 instance will only be doable by level 70's? No scaling for low level players? Stupid....to need a level 70 to get a level 40 broom mount.

Making the Healess Horseman a level 70 elite is dumb. Stop catering to level 70s, they have enough cool stuff.

You can do this with three: tank, healer and some form of reasonanly decent dps. Only phase that can cause trouble is perhaps 3, where 4 pumpkin men will spawn fairly often. Hits me (cloth) for around 600, and Horseman hits me for 2, 5k.

You dont need to have a full group of 70's
im a 66 and have done it about 9 times already. plus ive done it with a group of 4. He isnt that hard at all. you just need a really go tank.
and the pet is not 25% cause not many people at all have gotten it. that and I would have at lease seen it once already

I have tried and tried to get this pet. I've seen it drop once in at least 20 encounters, and that one time, I lost the roll.
