The foot-moving thing? It happens. Want me to kill him again?
Sean Connery and Nicholas Cage fans will recognize my lame attempt to quote the line from The Rock (without digging out my copy.)Gitr noted on his blog yesterday that after he killed Frostmaw recently, he noticed something strange. Much like the foot of the Marine in the aforementioned movie, it's hand was still moving -- clenching and unclenching his staff -- even though it was clearly dead. I don't know if this is something that can be duplicated every time, but it would sure freak me out.
About once or twice a month I get a somewhat more amusing graphical bug where the mob keeps "looking at me" even after it's dead, causing the body to spin on the ground if I run around it in circles.
While some bugs are annoying, some like these are amusing and even interesting. What silly in-game anomalies like this have you seen?

Vashj's hair snakes keep moving after she's dead. It's actually quite creepy.

After killing Tusker, her head continued to move back and forth while she was on the ground.

I haven't noticed anything strange like. Very interesting tho.

How about corpses that remain standing after you kill them?

I like when people's flying mounts don't show up right away, and it looks like they're swimming through the air.

Dead mobs have "sunk" into the ground for me a few times or died floating in the air...
Had a odd one last night - The abomination head behind the poison vendor in UC - it's eye keeps moving...

A lot of humanoids keep blinking after you've killed them. Creepy.

In IF and the surrounding areas there are these tiny little things running everywhere. They have beady little eyes and unnatural hair colors. They are super creepy. What are they called again????.... Oh, yeah, Gnomes.
LOL, juz kiddin’. Don’t go getting all bent out of shape on me.
I have had mobs die in mid air and stay there leaving the corpse floating about eye lvl. That happens a lot. Especially in PvP.

some imps' hands will open and close after they're dead, I've noticed them in the N. Elf and Orc starting areas. Sometimes a mob will glitch and it's head will stay pointed at you (also making it impossible to loot it for some reason). You can fix it by either running far away or re-logging. I've had a few dead mobs glide across the ground after they've been killed...now that's creepy!
RogueJedi86 Oct 10th 2007 5:09PM
Oh, and I've also had mobs that don't lose any visible health when you fight them, and then their corpses are nowhere near where they actually are, meaning they're unlootable. It's only lag, but still, hard to roleplay that one off.

i remember murlocks twitching their hands or feet in the human noobie place also raptors in durotar i just figured it was part of the game (cause i beat them so hard :D) and thought it was kinda cool cause it wouldnt hapen all the time just kinda random.

I've noticed that the Wild Elekk in Nagrand keep moving for a bit on the ground after you kill them, then they finally collapse totally and stop moving altogether. It kind of makes you feel bad for killing them just for their Ivory Tusks.

I don't remember which patch it was between.. but at one point the mobs, especially in the barrens, would 'bounce' up and down in mid air instead of walking up and down the hills.
And if you killed one in the wrong part of the arc, it would die INSIDE the hill, making it unlootable.

I've had MY corpse go sliding across the floor after I was dead in an instance before. Kind of creepy.

The funniest glitch i've seen since 2.2 came out was when I feigned death (hunter). On my screen, I popped back up and kept shooting. However, on my husband's screen across the room, I didn't. When I moved my toon, it looked like my hunter pet cat was dragging my corpse around on his screen. I would slide over rocks and up and down hills. All prone and corpse-like.

Jump off Telrador and die in the ankle-deep water... you'll go into the "floating dead man" pose if you hit it right, quite funny looking.

Once, when I was playing with my boyfriend, his character's drowned corpse (I don't think he died in the water, but he was in that dangling pose for some reason) ZOOMED at epic-flying-mount speed all around the area, skimming across a pond and bouncing over fences and everything. Freakiest thing I've ever seen in the game.

I've witnessed something that would be great feature if it wasn't a bug, mounted combat!

And I don't know how no one (except #9) seems to notice the grells/imps blinking and twitching their hands after they're dead. I avoid killing them just because it's creepy.

Its funnier with a pet, cause you havfe advanced notice... Pet is over at point A, blood is flying, but nothing is there. Mob is at point B, hitting nothing also. Shots go to point B.
Trick is to get pet and mob to merge to the same point "C" before the mob dies ;)
Also funny, is with the interpolation algorithm, I can send a pet in, take a shot, and the two will sometimes run PAST me fighting before they finally stop (usually just within my dead-zone :( )

I think at least once I managed to stay mounted but appeared to be dismounted on my wife's screen. I never wanted to stop, it was so funny looking at her screen with me *booking* it behind her on follows.
Gotta say humans look pretty goofy running with their own legs at +60% speed :D
