WoW Moviewatch: A Beginner's Guide To WoW

A player decided to take a school assignment and turn it into a World of Warcraft machinima piece. In it, he explains what an MMOG is, as well as various aspects of WoW. Just like the title of the film states, it's a good introduction to Warcraft.
It's very well done with lots of music, humor, good editing and beautiful 1 minute intro showcasing various zones in Azeroth. Don't miss the Leeroy Jenkins reference, the examples of the perils of Voice Chat or the Village People music under the credits.
Final Grade: A+!

Would have been better if it wasn't running at about 10fps, voice quality was better and the humour was a bit.. better.

It was a school project with the budget of a school project. Cut the kid some slack... it was 45 times better than the drek I remember people bringing in for video projects.

It's no Baron Soosdon masterpiece, but it's excellent for a school project.

Quality aside, it was nice to see someone actually explain what a MMO is and why they're so popular while using actual game footage. I'm definitely going to be pointing people in this direction when I get asked that question.

I agree with Mr Hollywood here. The FPS sucked, but it was nice to see someone explain this whole concept through ingame footage instead of some old bugger who has never actually played the game.

Thank you very much, everyone for your appreciative comments! Yes, i know the framerate sucks. For a number of reasons i was forced to use a school computer to create the video, which led to crappy framerate. I'm just happy it turned out as well as it did!

Outstanding job! I think it's great that Quady took the time to explain it in simple terms -- it really makes it easy to hand the video to parents or confused friends and say "Here, watch this."
