As a Shadowpriest I take Blessing of Salvation over every other Pally blessing, why should a dps Pally be any different? Pulling aggro on a Raid boss equals death and the classes that don't have an aggro dump (like Shadowpriests/Shamans/Moonkins/etc.) need Salv to not only stay alive but increase your dps. Yes, Blessing of Salvation raises your dps because it raises the ceiling for you to pull aggro off the tank. If there is no pally in my group? then I am screwed for a blessing, something a Ret Pally will never have happen.
Also, every class capable of burst damage knows they need to stay under a certain amount of MT aggro to avoid an accidental pull.
