Your joking right? Comparing a rogue to a Ret pally is like apples to oranges. Because you need salv is saying clearly have issues playing your class. Feint DROPS your aggro, if you are pulling aggro then your not using your available skills correctly. Unless you are duel-wielding legendary weapons, there is no reason an intelligent rogue should need salv. End of sentence.
