Prices for Arena Season 1 items revealed
As expected, Patch 2.3 will bring Arena Season 1 items down to the battleground mark market, which means that for the first time ever, you'll be able to buy Arena gear with regular battleground honor and marks (good to know-- I've been saving up all my marks for just a day such as this). And MMO Champion has delved into the PTR and come back out with prices for every piece of Gladiator gear, so now you can know exactly what to save up for on the new patch.Almost across the board, you're going to need some EOTS marks, either 10 or 20 for most items. And you'll need to save up honor, too-- it's about eight or nine thousand for low ticket items like the Paladin's Librams and the Shaman Totems, all the way up to 25-27k for the major weapons. That's definitely not impossible, considering how easy it is to get honor in the BGs, but odds are you'll want to get EOTS bonus honor weekends on your calendar (what a coincidence-- this coming weekend is one) and plan to spend some time playing WoW on those days.
Sure, the gear's not the latest and greatest (you'll have to get a great Arena rating for that stuff), but if you like the BGs as much as I do, these are still some great items that you can pay for with the points and marks that you're already getting anyway. Oh, and we need some help at Mage, if you can manage it. Thanks.
Thanks, Boubouille!

That's funny, I like EOTS the best.
Each battleground is frustrating and unfun when you have tards on your side. Yes, don't defend the flag, don't defend, rush rush rush, get the flag in the middle! gg

People have to understand that wait times are dependent on your battlegroup and don't reflect the experiences of everyone across WoW. On my server Alliance outnumber Horde by at least 4 to 1. You'd think that would mean great queue times for Horde, but it doesn't -- the overall battlegroup is more heavily Horde, thus longer wait times for us, but quick queues for alliance.
@10 You have Purge, Earthshock, Earthbind and Frost Shock. Use them. If you have decent gear and properly SLOW weapons, there's no reason why you shouldn't be a wrecking ball that obliterates anything that gets in range for you. Yeah, it sucks being kited as Enhancement, but you can do massive damage once you close the distance.

I think it must be server related. I've gotten 89 EOTS tokens in about 6 hours,
and 20k + honor points. Queue times average less than a minute.
Alliance wins 75% to the time. Battles are less than 15 minutes. Your mileage
will vary, apparently.

As a 9 month WOW player...and occasional BG participant....what in the hell are EOTS marks?
The one thing I hate about this game is everybody but almost talks in abbreviations and acronyms like they were charging by the letter in text messaging.
(a newbie complaint, I realize...and said with a smile)

@20 ROFL... let me know when enhancement Shamans can actually get into melee range (without using a mount) and then, most importantly, keep a target there. Oh, and when we are in melee range, please describe how an enhancement shaman is supposed to stay alive. Maybe we should just ask our opponents to be nice?
I hate to be the one that breaks this to ya, but crowd control is king in WoW PvP. And if you didn't know, Shamans have the worst and least amount of crowd control in game.

Oh EOTS must be eye of the storm marks....sorry...lol
PS I still hate all the abbreviations

@23
I just trying to figure out how many classes you are talking about that has an advantage over you because of "crowd control"
the only one that can repeatedly CC anyone is a mage and druid. a lock can, but you are talking about a shaman, so if you get feared.. you = noob. rogue has sap, but they've nerfed that, and you can trinket out of it. Hunter has ice trap, but even noobs can see him lay the trap.
jeez.. sounds like there isnt much of a problem with CC besides 2 class's. but good luck on your crying. while you lay down a fear totem and a earthbind, and spell absorb totem and have an instant shock that interupts plus does big damage.
see, what i'm getting at here is, everyone has weakness's and strength's. just because 1 or 2 class's has something, doesn't mean every other class in the game should have it also. (you were talking about arena, so I assume you aren't crying about 1 on 1) So quit arena'ing with all shamans.

First of all: I like EOTS, but yes.. not many who plays it. So maybe the reason that blizzard demands EOTS-marks is to get people to play it?
Specially if you go into a premade, you'll get loads of honor and it's done in 10 minutes, with all towers. From what i remember you get around 400 honor, a normal day for that...
wait-time is a sad problem, and wont be better for alliance when more plays.. since horde can't meet horde.

Does anyone know for sure whether S1 gear will be available for honor when 2.3 goes live (today) or when Season 3 starts (next week)?
