Hallow's End quest guides for 2007

Hallow's End has grown quite a bit this year. Adding to the old favorites of Innkeep Trick or Treating, PvP Smoke Bombing and Wickerman raids is the new Daily Quest to trigger the 5-man Headless Horseman event in the Scarlet Monastery graveyard wing. Considering this new mob drops Flying Broom Mounts, Evil Pumpkin Pets and Purple Jewelry, you can guess that he is going to be quite popular with the players.
New guides on defeating the Headless Horseman have sprung up around the Net. The fight doesn't seem too difficult for a group of L70s, but you can get an overview of all three phases and the loot table and WoW Wiki.
Also check out this excellent Hallow's End guide that covers all the activities for the holiday and lists the reputation gains and item rewards associated with each quest. Now put on your scary face and go get some Hallow's End goodies.

Something I've been trying to figure out is if the Headless Horseman can be done in a Raid group. I would love to involve some of the lower level members of my guild in this. Anyone know?

Since it's in a 5-man instance, I'd have to guess that the answer would be "no." Also, I'm assuming that the quest is identified as either a group quest or dungeon quest, so you wouldn't be able to start the event in a raid.

Why would they not make the broom mount available for players below level 70?
Seems dumb.

You need to have the riding skill to use the broom. Headless can drop 4 types of brooms, one for each type of mount. The flying ones require level 70 because you have to be 70 to get a flying mount. The normal ones should be usable in Azeroth but don't fly, they just hover over the ground.

Exactly, create level 40 broom mounts that no level 40 will get? Wierd...

What I have yet to confirm is...I know this is a daily quest, but it's also a 5man quest. Does that mean a group can summon/kill him 5 times in one day? Or if one person does the quest does it count towards everyone's daily limit? I sure hope we each get our own licks, because 5 people sharing 1 mob's loot every day will be lame :( There's way too much stuff I want off that horseman! :D

We'll finally know who the nerdiest guild of all time is once the first WoW quidditch video is posted.
I'm embarrased that I even thought of it.

Per the information on wowwiki.com this can be run in a 10-Man raid.
I have not confirmed this however.
