I dunno man, being a horde I don't encounter that problem much. On the other hand, I dispell in BG all the time, and not just on other shammies.

"Nyah nyah" comments aside, I can offer the following to be actually helpful:

Purge at caps lvl 32, and removes two beneficial effects. If you have water breathing, water, walking, and some lvl 5 pots/scrolls (cuz they're dirt cheap) in effect on your char, those might be the 2 effects to get dispelled instead of your Earthshield.

Now, if you're up against someone really persistent, this isn't going to help, becuase they aren't going to stop purge-spamming until they see your orbiting rock go bye-bye. Hopefully they've wasted enough time on purge cooldowns to get beat into the ground by your team-mates, or have been given a more significant threat to turn their attention to by then.
