...so where are the good ones? The 300 reference is just WAY to over used. I can even vote for a winner, cuz their all losers in my book.
ThorinII Oct 19th 2007 9:14AM
That last one is creative, fresh, and downrite funny!
x-ray glasses, ROFLMAO

Umm... I can't vote either. Sorry, they're all bad.
Wyatt Schick Oct 19th 2007 9:36AM
Man, I'm disappointed. None of those are funny. Heck, mine made -fun- of the Spartic obsession.
319:
"THIS... IS...!
No. I won't do it. We could do ANYTHING, and you want me to do another lame 'Sparta' joke. What? I mean, how is that even relevant to the scene at hand? Where am I, Westfall? Look at that moon! It looks like a halo! You could do a Jesus joke, everyone thinks bashing religion is funny. But no, you want Sparta. I'm a professional, I don't have to take this crap.
I'll be in my trailer."
So what, was it too long, or are jokes about jokes just not funny?
Mixx Oct 19th 2007 9:50AM
^^^ I would have voted for you :) As it is, I'll pass on the vote this week. Happy Friday!

The "moon hits your skull like a rampaging bull" one is pretty funny when sung to the tune it was meant to be sung to.
@3 HAHAHA
TheMinority Oct 19th 2007 10:03AM
I thought mine was a little funny... :<
It made me smile at least...
nobbie Oct 19th 2007 9:55AM
Caption?
"Thomas Alva Edison discovers the light bulb".
Yeng Oct 19th 2007 10:10AM
Whats most sad is that most of the entries are all just rips on what other people said. The first page or two holds most of the original entries then people just take it and spin it, or downright post the exact same thing again. Did you notice how many versions of the 300 thing was there or 'That's Amore'? White afro being the top one, and funny, none of those even made it.
@7, I posted the original Jesus joke (first page), it was just too blatant not to say something...of course there were a billion halo jokes after that as well.
What they really should do is make the submission portion of this private...not done in comments where people can just rip off other people's creativity, and even force you to come up with something creative yourself. Then they can do the vote with the ones they like the most at the end of the contest.
Mikey Oct 19th 2007 10:17AM
Agreed with #12.
I, too, was ripped off. I had number 2, referencing Jack Skellington... but at least it had a cultural bent with A Streetcar Named Desire and the fact Brando is dead.
None of these choices is remotely creative, aside from the Raphael-inspired one.
If I could vote for one not on the list, I'd like mine or (provided I couldn't self-vote) #319 from the original post... the one mocking the way over-used Sparta references.
kunukia Oct 19th 2007 10:39AM
Well, I thought a couple of them were funny. And I voted. Man, what a bunch of whiners.

"THIS! IS! WEST! FALL!!!!"
Really? You might as well have pick a Nicole Ritchie reference...old news is old news.
Perrins Oct 19th 2007 7:41PM
WOW i guess next time there should be a disclaimer
DISCLAIMER- this is for amusement purposes only. if you don't find it funny then don't vote, but leave your lame comments to yourself and let the others have fun. so STFU and have a nice day.
Smurk Oct 19th 2007 11:23AM
I'm glad the Defias Messenger one will win. Making zone-specific references (that aren't strained or stupid) should be encouraged over bad puns, weak pop culture references, abortive attempts at racy humor, etc. (LOL BONES THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID NEW EPISODES FOX THURSDAYS 9/8 CENTRAL.)
And don't get me wrong, it is very cool that WI gives away a lot of prizes, buuuut... some of the screenshots for this contest aren't very inspiring. I mean, yeah, you could say it "tests our creativity" but some, like this one, get mostly dull responses because it's a pretty dull shot.
Paw Oct 19th 2007 11:37AM
I liked mine better.
Mandragora Oct 19th 2007 12:41PM
I'm in 2nd to last-place! Woohoo, references to renaissance painting ftw.
Mandragora Oct 19th 2007 12:52PM
Gah the pre-Raphaelites weren't renaissance. Anyway, whatever. No card for me.
