I think it's a bit overpriced for the amount of storage, but I'm sure it's to discourage someone from making a gimmick guild with all of their alts and suddenly getting 20,000 slots worth of packrattery.
That said, my bank alt will get 3 tabs worth to start, and i might spring for the 4th tab if i'm bored and have a load of cash some day.
I think they really should have made the tabs priced according to guild size rather than flat rates if they wanted to discourage people (like me) from just making stupid guilds for bank alts for extra cheap storage. Or set some sort of guild size restriction on being able to make the tabs or something. Just being expensive isn't real cool. Will guildies that leave get a refund on purchasing their portion of the bank? Will new recruits be forced to donate 500+g towards the bank? This opens up a lot of potentially crappy requirements for guilds in the future...
