Actually, the range is now 4 to max range, not 1. I think the "1" is a typo or something. ^^; So there's no point blank ranged combat. (I tested this myself on the PTRs a couple of nights ago)

But I agree, I think this fixes a major issue for hunters - the dead zone made a lot of things more difficult than they had to be.
