As much as I dislike the name that I chose for myself (I chose it in a rush just to get into the game and play, realizing later I should have put more thought into it) I wouldn't give up my name for anything at this point. Sure, my close friends and guildies and arena partners would catch on to the change, but I've been around my server for a long time and I feel like everyone knows me. It would be sad to let go of the feeling of getting recognition from random people in IF or people I've grouped with in the past etc, even for a totally kickass new name.
Sadly I bet alot of names I'm used to seeing around are going to disappear.
I don't know it just feels like names are the closest thing you have to an individual identity in the game, now they have been kind of cheapened. But eh. probably no biggie.
