If you're on a RP server, you don't have to pay the $10. Just have two or three of your friends write a GM ticket saying your name is "not RP at all and we find it offensive." You can even report yourself, saying you've gotten complaints and want to change your name. I've done this myself. The next time I logged in, I was prompted to change my name.
