He mentioned offering free combines on items in trade channel, however what worked well for me when I was leveling leatherworking 350+ (which is also quite a grind)is actually offering to tip THEM if you gain a skill point, something like 5g even. It certainly saves alot of time and gives people extra incentive to come to you. Often people would insist on tipping me after all, but it makes you stand out in any case :)
