Breakfast Topic: Abilities you'd like to see in the Warcraft movie
I was recently playing my hunter in a situation where I could not use my pet because I had to use a special item to mind-control a demon in the Netherstorm, and apparently having a pet and mind-controlling at the same time isn't allowed in the game mechanics. As a beast-mastery hunter, I'm pretty weak without my pet, so I had to use Feign Death a lot to get into position next to the demon. Suddenly I imagined my character as a star in the Warcraft movie, feigning death left and right, and laughing at the demons who fell for it every time.
In a movie, certainly, it couldn't be so simple. The plausibility of the plot would require the monsters to figure out something was fishy when the hunter got up from apparent death the first time. Still, I thought if the ability was used once or twice in particularly appropriate moments, it could be really funny and also make the fans go wild, because they would recognize the game mechanics making a cameo in the film. Imagine: the hunter character in the movie is separated from his pet, surrounded by monsters, shot by an arrow and appears to die, only to be fine later on when his friends come to pick up his dead body. Then maybe towards the end, the bad guy feigns death too, and tricks the heroes with their own trick.
What other in-game abilities would it make you jump with glee to see get a cameo in the movie? What place do you think it would take in the story? The first abilities that come to my mind are Polymorph, Vanish, and a paladin's bubble shield -- anything with a strong visual impact that could play a significant part on the story.

If I DON'T see feign death in the movie I want my money back. Its useless in PvP so we need atleast one more outlet for it.
But I want to see how they play the druid shapeshifting without getting too cartoonish or too horror movieish.

FROST SHOOOOCK!
Actually, that's one of the first abilities seen in the WoW comic book, so I'm pretty hapy about that.

BUBBLE HEARTH! It has to happen at LEAST once! In the middle of a pitched battle just having one paladin bubble hearth in a crowd shot would cause the WoW players in the audience to laugh themselves silly, it doesn't need to be front and centre screen as normal punters wouldn't get the joke :)
I also want to see a Lolwell!

I think seeing Fear would be too funny. Just picturing some bad ass orcs or other humanoid characters running at some warlock as if they're going to beat him up, only to see them screaming for their dear lives after a flick of a hand. The stuff that they'd be screaming about is an entirely different matter of humor.

Mind Flay or SW:D. I think it would be fun to see those spells on the big screen.

But if the movie is supposed to be a telling of events between WC3 and WoW, it'd probably be focused on the Heroes, so many abilities would be limited. No Shadowpriests before WoW(Tyrande seems to be a Holy Priest), and did Malfurion Stormrage ever do any Druidic shapeshifting?

I think Frost Nova would look amazing in a movie. It looked cool enough in the original cinematics.

Drain Life, Death Coil, and all the Warlock pets. At the very least the Succubus and Felguard, with the imp for some well-timed comic relief. ;)
The shadowpriest's shadow form.
@3, LOL...definitely need a bubblehearth in the movie.
@4, I'd be surprised if that one didn't make it into the movie.

I just want them to put a big 40 man raid in there so we could see everything like people getting pissed off over and we could even have some gold sellers too.

Can you imagine a boss that feigns death? Just when you think it's okay to loot/relax BAM they come back.

Crusader Strike FTW!

Purely for a visual orgasm, they've gotta show Avenging Wrath, which has the COOLEST vid fx of any ingame ability. Everytime we take a screenie round a dead boss in Kara, i have to pop it. :D Ooooh and maybe a bit of noggenfogger :P

Well, if they want to put in the current situation for the movie we'll need..
An inn full of people QQing about Warlocks
A bunch of gnome rogues stealthing around killing the young adventurers (lowbies)
A large group of gnome mages all doing that stupid laugh and tossing frost nova's every step.
A group of heroic looking, heavily armored alliance toons telling dick and fart jokes as they march along (to emphasize the 12yr old mentality of alliance players)
And of course, need a bunch of people sitting on their Nether Drake mounts outside of populated areas silently begging for someone to compliment them on their mounts (Cause we all know that why the attention whores sit on them all night outside of busy areas)

i'd love to see the effect of an affliction lock in full swing on some poor soul. Glowing purple as the shadow damage makes him squirm in agony *evil grin*
