Actually my main is a feral druid and with the right gear you can be very effective and in demand for tanking/dps in both raids and 5-mans. BG's are very fun as a feral druid, arenas are where it's the toughest. I'd prefer to be resto in an arena because there is a greater demand and success comes easier, imo. But you can still do well in arenas as a feral you just have to be good player and have decent gear.
Solo play as a feral is cool because you can do just about anything with the ability to stealth and heal yourself.

In fact I could see resto druids being very in demand for just about anything...if you enjoy healing, hehe. The only problem there might be solo play if dont have great feral/moonkin gear to pump up your dps.
