WoW Insider presents... Massively!
We've been working through the night to put the final touches on our new MMO-centric blog, Massively. Be the first to stop by and establish your FIRST POST cred in our comments. So what should you expect to see on Massively? The same level of in-depth game coverage you see on WoW Insider, only for more MMOs than you can count -- even if you use all of your fingers and all of your toes. While WoW Insider will still be here, covering everything about World of Warcraft, we invite you to visit Massively for all the news on the other virtual worlds in the neigborhood. And who knows: you may just find a new MMO to love.
But for those of you who need more encouragement to join us, we're launching with a bang and a 24 hours of Tabula Rasa giveaway. Every hour on the hour we're giving away Tabula Rasa swag from NCsoft to kick off two weeks of daily game giveaways. And if that's not tempting, I don't know what is.

Huh. Well, I guess I should have expected something like that.

Well, people have asked us for a WoW Insider for other games for a while... and, well, we live to please.

Im sorry but Second Life is not a game
Girl Meets WoW Nov 2nd 2007 2:17AM
I sort of figured this was only a matter of time, when you guys started advertising for an "MMO blogger" for Joystiq. Neat.

Looks like all the good posts are on the new site, so now we have to wade through crap about Everquest and the Sims Online to find the stuff we want.
Can't you just put the same stories on both sites?
Barb Dybwad Nov 2nd 2007 2:47AM
there will be plenty of great posts on both sites. everybody wins!

Like the name, like the design, not really bothered about the content...
I don't know anyone who plays more than one MMO. I'm sure their are people, but not many...
Plus, most MMOs suck, I let MMOs settle for at least a year before I play them, if it becomes popular, then I will join, if it doesn't, I will not...
So good luck, but it won't be a site I visit much...

Really? What a letdown. I hoped you were going to finally write a new warlock column. Whoever was writing those did a fantastic job, don't you think? There have been at least three or four articles...

I fear change.
And WoWInsider better not just be going to become a long series of Class articles now.
Valdris Nov 2nd 2007 4:58AM
I totally nailed it in comment #3 of the last article. I accept payment in prizes.
Tridus Nov 2nd 2007 6:22AM
Well, not everybody wins. Contests around here are almost never open to non-Americans.

Will the new blog contain articles on wow that aren't reposted here? I only play wow ATM and don't want to clutter up my feeds

A few comments:
1. I agree, they definitely need all WoW-related articles to be posted here too.
2. Um, are they giving away a NEW expansion for the original Everquest on there? They actually bothered to make another expansion for a game that has a sequel out? I feel like I'm going crazy when I see stuff like that.
3. When do WE get that spiffy comment system?
4. After seeing that site, THIS site is starting to look kinda dated.

1) We won't repost articles on both sites, but Massively will cover the big WoW news. WoW Insider, as usual, will just cover it in extreme, close up, super nerdy depth. If you like WoW, you'll still love WoW Insider. But if you play WoW and other MMOs, you'll love Massively, too.
2) Yeah, they're making a new Expansion for EverQuest, and we're giving it away. We tried to get some prizes for Ultima Online, but Garriot was all excited about some game called Tabula Rasa, so we're giving that away instead. :)
3) Hopefully, WoW Insider will get the cool comment system soon. We're on the short list of sites to be updated in the network, so keep your eyes open.
4) And yeah, the design is set for a nice upgrade, too. Our designers are overbooked, but we keep being told that they're making their way towards us, so a design refresh (although nothing too big-- I like this design :) ) isn't far off.

Congrats on starting a new blog. But I wont be visiting it. I am only interested in WoW. All other MMO's are irrelevant to me.
Hope you have success with it though.

I'm glad WoW Insider isn't going away. Was worried there for a sec because SLI is.
