Blizzard ices up the WoW homepage logo

It's begun. The cold is coming. Be warned. The land itself will rise up against you. Long-forgotten terrors will smother your courage. In the end, all that awaits you... is death.
So come then, you heroes! Come in all your power and glory! For in the final hour, all must serve... the one, true king.
[ Thanks, Lenny! ]

The 'frosty' WoW logo on the official website has actually been up for a few weeks now. Looks cool, though, thanks for reporting for those who don't know.

Actually, that's been there ever since Wrath was first previewed at BlizzCon in August...

I hadn't noticed it 'til you said something. Nice little touch.

Has nothing at all to do with the expansion, they're just getting ready for winter.
What will the nelfs do for levels when all the bears in Darkshore and Ashenvale bunker up for the winter?
Ugkul Nov 4th 2007 4:47AM
They're probably trying to hit the same date as Warhammer Online, which has been delayed until mid 2008.
Murkle Nov 4th 2007 7:54AM
Is this news?
Fail article is fail.
dekulink Nov 4th 2007 9:23AM
Talk about a delayed article? Hehe. This hasbeen around or months.
Baluki Nov 4th 2007 9:52AM
I never noticed that.
I'm eagerly waiting for them to roll out the new WLK version of the site and forums. I'm getting pretty tired of all the green, and I'd love to have some nice blue highlights instead.

Im both hyped and worried for this game. Burning Crusades endgame is very unattractive for me, and has at many times almost made me quit the game due to my feelings on progression. Instances, Battlegrounds, and questing have all become useless for me, because all the usable loot comes out of raiding, so BC only leaves raiding at endgame or faction grinds which i dislike majorly. And I dont have the time to dedicate to raiding every night, and so i will likely be in kara for most of my BC experience, and by the time WOTLK comes i will likely be in Magtheridons lair. Im hoping that WOTLK fixes alot of these problems, or I will likely finish the area, roll death knight, do it again, and raid for a bit, and then maybe quit. I dont want to but Blizz needs to fix this problem of making endgame to progression based. With the base version right off the bat at 60 you had MC, ZG, AQ20, and Onyxia, and while some you wouldnt be good at due to bad armor, you wouldnt be unable to do them without the last dungeon set. I would very much like to go to Gruuls without having to run Kara for months, and then wait for my guild to run kara a million times aswell just to go fight gruul and then do the same till mag. I just hope WOTLK fixes this.

Um, you should check your history. MC, ZG, AQ, BWL, and Naxx were all content patches, mate. They weren't there "right off the bat." And saying the only decent gear comes from raiding is pretty much crap. The only decent raiding gear comes from raids. If you want PvP gear, then you should do some arenas. Now that the S1 gear is available for honor you should have no complaints.
Unless of course you simply think that spending lots of time working towards a goal should get you the same rewards that people like you who "Simply dislike grinding" are able to get. Sounds to me like the man who thinks that he should be able to be a concert pianist without practicing.

"The 'frosty' WoW logo on the official website has actually been up for a few weeks now."
Try a few months. I found a blog post from back in September that had a mention of it.
