No patch this week

It's a Monday and there's a patch on the PTR. If there's one thing you can count on, it should be a post on the official WoW forums asking if the patch will be released tomorrow. And of course, the WoW populace does not disappoint us. Today's query comes from a player named Vux who has chosen an unusual multiple choice format to provide a change of pace from the normal routine. Drysc answers the post in the negative -- 2.3 will not hit the live realms tomorrow.
Many players' hopes of a release date have been based upon the fact that 2.3 is already being distributed via the Blizzard downloader. When one player asked about the early download, Bornakk simply reminded everyone that content-heavy patches, like this one, are often made available for early download. While he didn't give any further hint of a release date, he did respond with the typical blue response "soon".

speaking from experience releasing a patch before its ready is never ever a good idea.. people will just have to be patient.

Nah, it's going to be at least 2 more weeks. They haven't fixed the shaman DPS issue yet.

It will either be next week or not for 3 weeks. It will not be on Thanksgiving week.

We will be performing a series of rolling restarts on all realms for our scheduled weekly maintenance on Tuesday, November 6th. The restarts will begin at 5:00am PST, and each realm will be down for approximately 15 minutes.
Thank you,
Blizzard Entertainment"
Hmm, I wish it was 2.3, but 15min doesn't seem long enough :(

The patch will most certainly add new things to the Feast of the Winter Veil, which starts on the 15th of Dec (I think?). So that's probably their deadline. And in that light, why would they release it early this week when then have a month to tweak and polish things? Not a Blizzard type of thing to do.
I put my money on first week of December

God I wish they'd get the darn patch out. Getting tired of waiting. It seems done to me.

@8/Varus: While it's certainly possible that that's what Blizzard is thinking, it's also entirely possible that Winter Veil changes won't be in a major patch. Blizzard could just as easily be planning FWV changes for patch 2.3.1 - or, for that matter, patch 2.2.4 if 2.3 isn't finished to their satisfaction by then.
I suspect that Blizzard will be releasing in the next few weeks, given that they've begun pushing the patch via the background downloader already; on the other hand, I always seem to be optimistic about that sort of thing, and even if I'm not, my prognostications are hardly any more reliable than anyone else's. :)

Why does it seem like it's taking longer and longer for patches to come out? 2.2 was insane and it's still probably quite a while before 2.3 is out.
It might not actually be this way but it just seems like patches used to come out quicker.
